I'm kidding of course but that boy has about eat me out of house & home today. Of course i don't care what he eats. He has not been here all weekend & i ask him did he miss his bobo's cooking & he said yes. I HAD GOTTEN LASAGNA OUT OF THE FREEZER FOR HIM TO HAVE FOR LUNCH FRI. & HE ENDED UP GOING TO A FRIEND'S. I went on & cooked it sat., carried a friend some, ate some myself twice & was going to finish it up last night & thought i'll save it, ryan might want it today. Well sure enough he hadn't been here long this morn when he ask if we were having lasagna for lunch. I was soooooo glad i had saved it for him. He dearly loves macaroni & cheese & he said he wanted that to go w/it. THOUGHT IT A STRANGE COMBINATION but u know grandma's i fixed it. I never saw such a lunch he ate. He said he wanted more macaroni & came back w/the pan & ate the whole thing,.He has since had a big bowl of sherbert. I told him he was a little piglet, lol. Do u have a piglet at your house??

i dont know what it is about grandmas. unless its because they are better cooks or at least they cook i loved my grands cooking and mom only cooked on weekends and not as good as grandma. she thought i starved to when i came there. i cooked all the time yet when my kids went to my aunts which they called grandma, she probably thought i never fed them. cause they acted like they were starving.

The only child that I have known who could eat like that at his age was my grandson, Nicholas. I remember once, when he was small, I fixed a plate for him with the amount of food his father (my son) would have eaten at that age. His father took the plate and with the comment, "Mom, this is Nic you are feeding," he more than doubled the amount of food on the plate. I don't know if he still eats like that or not. I doubt it, as he has to pay for his own food now. He is now 20 years old and attends a university in Colorado. His father told me that he had slimmed down to about 220 lbs. I believe that to be a fair weight for one who is 6 feet 3 inches.

My grandson used to live with us, and when he comes over, he tries to eat everything he can get his hands on. I am guessing it is anything that Mom doesn't have at home. So yes, I do have a piglet at my house.

My cats are my piglets mostly. I would guess that you grandson is either growing, or is going to grow a lot really quickly.

Wow Jo! lol He's a growing boy but good Heavens! That's a lot for a little guy to eat in one sitting! He is a little piglet! But for what I've seen and been told, growing boys eat like an bottomless pit because they're developing more muscle than girls do and energy to boot! I'm sure you already know this for you've raised two boys of your own.... right?

LOL little boys certainly can eat lots. My older boys are 22, 21 and 18. I went through plenty of those days where they ate me out of house and home. My younger 3 are only 3 and 8 months old so they are not bad yet. I can imagine what it will be like when they get older though. Little piggies abound. Nothing beats Grandma's cooking though. Glad you got to spend some time with him.

Nope, I have picky eaters, so I can't say he is a piggie unless we only have the food he likes, then I can say that. He is only 10 though, I wonder when he hits his teens if he will consider eating the healthier food we have in order to make it through the day...

Yes Anti i do ,his name is David he is over 6foot tall.He used to be a little scrap of a kid.He has been staying with his girlfriends family and you can tell by whats left in the larder. We have only been getting half of what we normally buy.My daughter Caroline used to eat like a horse even at the creche they told me she ate hers then went round the leftovers on the plates of the other children and finished theres off as well.No she is not obese although she should be.I offered to pay the creche more money but they said it was great to find a child that enjoyed her food so much.Even at school she was always going up for seconds and thirds. She was a cute little thing with blonde hair and they just fed her till she had enough no extra charge.I pesonally love to see a child eat.My little grandson now eats me out of house and home.Lovely thats what I say.No eating disorders this end.My son in law enjoys his food as well,no problem for me.It gets on my nerves when people are picky or maybe you and I cook nicely

Oh..he must be going through a growth spurt. Little boys can really put it away..lol. My son used to go through times when it seemed like he was continuously eating. I thought it was weird but my Nana told me to just let him eat as much as he wanted..that he was growing and actually did need everything he was downing.

I hope that he does not eat like that all the time. Lots of lasagne and macaroni and cheese are going to be awfully hard for the body to digest and will cause weight gain amongst other nasty issues. I remember when I visited my grandmother as a boy, every time we went there she would have me eating so much that I could not move. All sorts of delicious meals and lots of cakes, always lots of cakes! Things that I would never eat today or feed to my own children!

hi dearest Antiquelady, I think things like this happen to many of us here and there. I am not generalizing thats why I wont write "happen to all of us here and there". Like I am quite good in cutting out the bad carbs of my diet and sticking to the good ones which wont work too quickly. But sometimes I cant resist the urge to eat the bad stuff and normally then I will also have too much of that stuff as I missed out on it for a nice while. Maybe Ryan just has a growth spurt also with all the sports he is doing.
