What was the best thing about being a child?

I always find myself looking back at the 'good ole days' when I was a kid. My favorite part about being a kid was my innocent mentality, I sometimes wish that I didn't know the things I know now that I didn't know as a child. I just miss that. I was just wondering what others miss about being a child.

The best thing about being a child is.. that implicit faith and trust we used to have. Come to think of it, were we ever worried of food shortage or the bills when we were kids? We knew that when we were hungry, our parents will be right there on time to give us food. Kids will most likely believe everything you told them to. They also find joy in simple things, I never heard of kids whining because they feel bored.

Haha well I never thought money grows on trees but I did think of this as a kid - I was wondering how people make movies. Those singing actors on Bollywood movies? I kind of thought maybe there were people with their cameras in the bushes secretly filming other people's lives. People singing declaring their love in the streets, of course, in this case.

Desiree91: Those things you said were true, when we were kids we use to look at our parents as heroes; they'd come through with the food, with the toys, or anything else we wanted. Children always have the wildest imagination, adults never could see the things we 'saw'

The best thing about being a child for me is just to be innocent, enjoying life, exploring the world without to much worries and problems like what we have today as adults.Being a child is a great stage of life that everyone of is misses.

I know what you mean, the things we have to deal with as adults aren't simple. Being a child everything is simple, everything is good as gravy. Boy, do I miss those feelings.

Childhood means nothing but happiness to me. Imagine that I do nothing but play, eat and sleep. A child does not think of any any problem. All his concern is to play and enjoy. That is what I love childhood. It is the opportunity to play all day. Playing was my life when I was a kid and I really missed those good all days. I and my playmates would go out and do all sorts of games we could ever enjoy. Sometimes we fight but later we would make up and start playing again. Sometimes we would even hate it when our parents call us to eat. All we ever wanted was to be with each other and play, play all time. Oh I really miss those days because now I don't have anymore time to play like that.
