Kiro is my two-year old shih tzu. He is the Imperial type (Princess) -- those that remain small even they're already adults. Since he was a puppy, I noticed he's flaking. Usually around the ear area. I didn't mind it so much. Just been careful in rinsing him properly when I give him bath. But, after he turned one, more problems appeared. Flakes become worse, he became terribly itchy, rashes started appearing around his neck, and the fur on his neck started to fall off. Now, he is almost bald around the neck, tummy and ears. I don't wanna go back to the vet as it costs a lot and they can't give any clear answer as to what happened to my poor dog. Anyone might have encountered the same problem?

How old is he? We did encounter the same with our puppy when he was around 1 month old. It was like he was shedding his hair and there were patches of baldness. The vet told us that there was something wrong with the nutrition. So we started feeding him those canned dog food with dry dog food and he had lice problems too so we had to bathe him more than once a week but with warm water. Now that he's around 3months old, he looks better and hair had been starting to look good too. Steer clear of those prawns and seafood because they tend to be allergic to dogs. Perhaps something that he's eating? Have a great MyLot experience ahead!
