to success:opportunity or hard-working

There is a saying that goes " Success is when opportunity meets preparedness", and I really believe in that. No matter how many opportunities come, if you are not ready or prepared for it, it will lead you nowhere and no matter how prepared you are, when you do not seek for opportunities then you will also be stuck, so both must meet to find success.

I believe that it's both. We need the ability to search for opportunities, recognise the good ones and don't let them go. Then, we need to have the qualifications and the ability to prove that we can give our best with hard-work and the skills that we've developed. Success is based on many factors and everyone has a different story to say about how he/she managed to be successful! I hope we'll all have our own stories one day!

I'm more on the hardworking side. I've worked since age 17 and I'm almost 27 now so I've been working for ten years. I can't say I had good opportunities that I didn't work hard for---I got them because I persevered. Hardworking people will always have opportunities. Opportunity doesn't come knocking on one's door too often.

Opportunities are everywhere and at any time, take it or leave it. Hard work is mandatory. If the opportunity is in line with your talents, you do not feel like working hard.

before you are going to do hard-work you have to think that which keeps you from hard working. its only your attitude and if you have a positive attitude towards your work and love for your work you can do it. no matter how difficult it is you can do it. regarding opportunity you have to creat it.

If a men has always do hard work he will get success in his field.But when he finds the right opportunity then only his hardwork will rewarded by people.Opportunity and hardwork are two sides of a coin.The value of both sides is important.If two comes at the right stage people will become the leader and do the tasks and finish it in the right time.

While I agree with you that both are needed to become successful, opportunities present themselves only to those who work hard and not the other way around. Promotions and perks are given to those who really sweat it out in making goals a reality and rendering service way beyond the call of duty. So if you really want to reach the top, make sure to get your hands off your pants and climb the ladder of success.

Hi, What all you mentioned here are really important. But as a basic factor, few more important qualities also are essential. Our knowledge and education. If we are well educated and ability, we can reach anywhere we want alongwith whatever you mentioned earlier. If we are with basic education and inefficient, we cannot reach to a higher position as much we do the hard work. I think success and opportunities are really interrelated and we should think first where we are and what we can. Regards

Success can be achieved if there there is a strong determination and a strong devotion to your goals. Along with it make sure that you are working hard for it. This can help you to get what you dream and what you think. It doesn't matter how far the goal is away from you buts till any one can do it if you go for the best. opportunities and hardworking is quite two very important factors which lead to success. Opportunities will be only arises when there a hard working mind in you.

I agree, both are essential to become successful. It's like a cycle really. With "hard-work", "opportunities" will find their way to your front door. And when it presents itself, grab it. Once you grab it, you "work hard" to be promoted, and when the "opportunity" comes that you will be promoted, grab it, and it goes on, and on and on. If one isn't present, then you messed up somewhere along the road, or you made a bad decision. :D
