I know why I just dont know why its allowed

Because of a certain 3 day (or is it 2) policy or promise there of, I found 187 emails from mylot today. yes I know why but dont know why its allowed. at least 3 of my friends went off the deep end and made about 50 discussions. these are also the ones that never reply/respond back once you've spent your time going to put a comment on their discussion that they dont really care about. As Cindy Lauper once said, "money changes everything" well needless to say ive spent most of my day taking some off notify and deleting a lot of my emails. in any case, i will have the decency to come back and respond to all the comments made to mine. Have you ever noticed some people do this and never come to comment on your discussions? and when you asked them why they say they have just been to busy. yet they have time to make so many discussions a day. Is that participation? i thought thats what mylot was all about. participation. hope im spelling it right

I do have friends that start a ton of discussions but never respond back. I never ask them why. I just continue my own level of participation. I just get more out of the discussions I start if I participate. I enjoy them more. I just enjoy being active.

i do also, but its annoying when they dont bother actually discussing their own discussion if that makes any sense.

Yeah, I think it's because of that quadruple payment thing going on. I have no idea what's it about. I haven't earned more than 2 cents here in the last few years even though I've been responding to discussions.

Well dear you can avoid flooded mailbox by turning off the notification box just below your friends name anyway so you you won't be bothered by mylot notifications. Well indeed many people here are only for posting and posting and they don't really mind communicating. Many post discussions but don't mind to answer back to the respondents. Many add you as friend but never do they respond to your discussions. I used to get quite offended by these kind of people but now I am no more affected. They are the ones missing the opportunities anyway.

Hi, bunny....I was thinking abouut this yesterday when I saw people starting discussions that they were never going to have time to respond to. Surely they know that starting discussions doesn't earn them any more than responding to already existing discussions. I just deleted those notifications. If the myLot member starts so many discussions that they can't get to all of them, then I'm not going to worry about them.

Hi Bunny, on my end, i am having some problem as don't know why i am only able to give respond to other mylotter discussions but not allow to give comment to my own discussion. Seems like, the commenting system to my own discussion was blocked. That's why, you can see that my recent discussions don't have any comment back yet although i am in Mylot. Now, i am still half-way sorting through all the nearly 200 notifications which i had just received. Really having a busy time, sorting through those discussions...

I have been enjoying being able to go to my email and responding. I get so much more done that way. I don't start a lot of discussions at all. I do try to answer to different people very often.

Isn't it strange how I've never known anyone admit to being here for the money, or "the few pennies" myLot earns them but look how many people have gone crazy making discussions. They say they are here for the friendship not the money. Makes one think about sincerity eh? Personally, I'm here for the money, even if it is taking me 5 months to earn $10 these days.

well i came for the money and found i really like the interaction. but i do think people would leave when they get really upset if not waitng on their pay. i probably would have one time but stayed on long enough to get the situation straightened out and now glad i had to stay a while to get the money id earned. if that makes any sense.

Well I have a specific email for mylot, as well as one for my friends, one for business, and one for writing as well as the yahoo one for spam, etc. so it depends on what one is more important. Also if I only use one browser, that would mean responding to mylot emails, closing it, opening up my friend email account, closing it, opening up my business email, etc and I will get nothing done. That means that I have taken off notify, and just use the mylot page for my responses and comments. It also means that I would have to keep all the tabs open on mylot after I wrote a response. I do find when you start a topic, there is no excuse for someone to respond to it, because it is all there in the unresolved section. It is not about money, it is about time. And with the July 4th special that meant I could make the same amount for half the time and get more things done.

I cannot think of more then a couple of subject to start in a day, let alone twenty. I do wonder why they do it. I find it easy to comment on my unresolved discussions, well there is not that many doing it. I do find it hard to go through the discussions I responded to, because well even though I do comment on the responses on the ones I start, some do not even comment on my response, so I feel I have to go through a whole lot of pages. I was lucky today in finding that you had commented on mine, but most of the time, not that lucky.

uuummm i see your point but, its the reason i dont do it. like make 20 in one day or so even with the money promise, i realise its like ignoring my friends if i dont respond back to them or even ones not friend. i mean its just rude to ignore your comments. money or not

hi bunnybon I get to the point when I keep responding and never getting a comment that I just do not care to respond anymore to this 'person who never comes back to comment on our responses. If he or she does not have enough time to comment back why did he or she make the discussion in the first place? Do they still think and wrongly that we respond to them that they get paid for out responses they are fools as the admins does n t pay us for other peoples responses.you type you get paid ,I type I get paid. you type you get paid.

Yes i have noticed this. WE must have that same friend. I also deleted them and concidered removing them from my friends list. i deleted them because i figured they could not possibly be quality discussions. The person also never replies when i resond to them. I dont know what they think they are acomplishing by doing that. All it did was irratate me.

hi bon, i had some of those to. i hate it anytime when one person writes a doxen discussions. i usually just delete them when that happens. I would feel the same way u do. If they didn't join in on a daily basis , i probably would just delete them. Money does change ALOT of folks & it's not usually for the good. Hope u have a good weekend.

Long time no see! (Forgot my log in details ) I, too, have noticed that some people make xxxx number of posts, seemingly thinking that just starting a discussion will earn them big bucks. For the last time, people - this isn't an article writing site; things don't work that way! Ditto, you don't earn by getting people to sign up as friends, unless you're prepared to chat with them occasionally via their discussions. I'm very careful who I "friend" these days. Generally I check out their profile and only accept if I see they've been actively interacting, either on other people's threads or their own.

thats another thing that kind of annoys me. they do so many then cant keep up with them. i only do like 2 or 3 a week sometimes, not even that all the time. and i have a heck of a time keeping up. i just feel wrong if i dont respond back. i also watch my friends list closely these days because of that.

I have noticed that I actually have lots of friends here in MyLot but only a handful write discussions and actually respond t mine or responses I have left. But I am not going to delete my friends or change my notifications. I don't mind all the emails, I do look at every single one of them and if the discussion seems interesting to me I will respond, regardless if they ever respond t my discussions. I do enjoy reading my emails and responding to them.

good for you. you are a very nice sweet friend to have. im just mean i do try to be a nice person tho. i read most of them. its just that i have 2 friends that on a NORMAL day do 10 to 20 discussions and on this one day or 2 that it was triple pay i think they did about 50 or so each and a few others did like 20, and you would have to spend the whole day just to read them all! i mean really? is that what you did?

No thats not what I do. I do look at all of my emails. I read them quickly. I know after the first sentence if I am interested or not. Then is I am not interested I delete the email. I try to spend a good amount of time here on MyLot, but I cannot. I work with other sites that also take my time. But I do the best I can. I have right now over 300 emails. What I do is try to do the new ones first, like from the day I am in, then go back and start going through the older ones. I manage. You're not mean, I like you, you are a good friend. We all do what we have to do, thats all.

I respond to my friends and if I feel they couldn't care less about responding to at lease a few of mine I delete them. My time is important too.

I turn off notify on my friends for this reason. I can go to the "Friends Started" tab and find them all just fine without getting lots of e-mails about discussions I don't necessarily want to get involved in. And lots of people do what you say, make lots of discussions but don't really reply to any of them. This is a discussion site, and I just like it so much better when people will come back and respond to you. Then you can get a conversation going, and... you know... discuss things! Well you don't get paid in participation for all the discussions you make, only for what you type. So if they don't respond to anyone, they might as well have just made one post.

im not really sure about how the pay works and yes its one factor of being here but i may very well come here anyway, since i like the other good points of mylot. like my friends etc.
