My rank went down to 6?!!!

I know I left my myLot account dormant for a really long while. I just thought of starting again last night and made a few post since til I woke up this morning. I became a little occupied with pimping my other blogsites then came back to check for comments to the discussions I started. And, yes, there were new comments. Thanks people!
But, to my surprise, I noticed that the silver star I got used to seeing became a pink one with the number 6 on it. Why oh why? Is't because of me following an advice to click this [!] just to remove a double post? Makes me sad.

Oh sorry friend, i am not here always because no internet,no laptop.
But my star still at 8 but i don't know if will go down and i have to expect it.but thankful,my star still the same.

Well I used to rank 10 but slid down to 9 when I rated some posts negative. I felt bad. I have not regained the 10 ratings till now. Anyway, it does not affect my earnings in anyways so I don't think that should bother me so nowadays I don't really care anymore about my ratings.

salonga our reputatons do cout but 10 an 9 keep your earnings higher. read the guidelines again as m ylot admins figures in our
reputations along with our earnings in their algorithm. so you
are ten which is highest and will keep your earnings good. I
seldp, rate anyone negtative unless the post was insulting then I jus report it to mylot admins.

I don't remember your previous ranking -- except that it was a 7 star --. I don't think you have to worry : if you have lost a few points, you have also started a lot of discussions that are not yet rated, and you will probably get quickly your previous star. My own star played a yo-yo game until (500) : more the number near your user name will be high, and more your star will be stable. So, don't be discouraged.

You are right sir topffer not worry about star and now I leave to pay the attention on star only paying attention on work because if notice the star means not feeling well because since last 2 years constant 9. So I leave to think about this.

hi read the guidelines and the FAQ's as the reputations are figured in with our earnings in the mylot algorithm. the higher
theranting the better such as blue ten andred nine, you will
earn better.

typo rating not ranking and there are ten stars. ten is blue and red is 9 those people will earn more.

The way the star rating works is when other users rate you with the + and - buttons. As you probably know if people give you a + it goes up and - it goes down. If you have made discussions that have been deleted it may go down that way as well since MyLot would have seen it as breaking the terms of their site. You can find out more about it in the FAQ's :)
All you can do now is post discussions and comments and wait for users to rate you again.

I was a 10 a few years ago then left the site for about 2 years and when I came back I was a 9 :( It was probably because i wasn't active for so long. Oh well I am back to try and gain my 10 back lol

before I tear my hair out deleting posts has nothing t o do with your rating and star and reputationl we mylotters are su ppsed to rate as we read post and give pluses if we feel the post deserves it,this is done only by your fellow mylotters.
deleting only decreases your earning and has not one thing to'do with your rating or rep and your star. just do the best you can on your posts and hope we all remember to rate your posts and rate them positive.

hi sharksfin that has nothing to do with your rating at all what yuu do about double posts? read the guidelines and the FAQ's again.Your star and rating are governed by whether you get
more pluses or minuses on your posts as rated by us fellow
my lotters.If you were taken down a lot inform the admins as we may have another troll who loved to minus people and see their stars and rating fall.so someone here may again have a too heavy hand with the
minus sign.I had that happened to me by going over night from blue to pink and 100 to 50 and it was done deliberately by two men who stayed up for 24 hours minusing all my posts. Admins caught the men and banned them. all I can suggest is just do your best and hope we will give you all pluses. I will sure plus you all I can and hope all us mylotters will stop the minus hitting and give pluses

First of all make it clear that our reputation (star) gets effected when someone rates us +ve or -ve to our comments/responses.
You don't need to worry much as your activity rating is so low and its just 417 so you will have enough chance and time to improve your reputation further just keep on writing quality content.
