My job is putting me on long term disability and instead of my Husband giving me support he get's a attitude and say "I don't want to be getting up going to work and bursting my butt and you be sitting home taking it easy. Now do that sound like a husband giving his wife support. What has happen to real marriages in this world.

Wow I think that is terrible for him to say that and act that way. If you are getting long term disability it is for a reason. If you didnt need it you would be eligible to get it. Your husband should feel lucky that he is healthy and able to work. Maybe something will happen and he will wind up in your shoes and then he will understand. I think he needs to learn to be more sensitive.

Thank you shaggin It hurt my feelings so bad when he said it I could not believe what I was hearing. But I'm a firm believer that what goes around comes right back around.

Hi SJ I am so so sorry that your husband is a real "knucklehead". he dosen't make any sense..what a terrible thing to say to another person especially someone you suppose to love...He is a selfish and so heartless to say that even is thats how he felt...But who says that..and the reason you are not working is legit....WOW.. so so sorry sista... But you have to take it from where it came from..you know what kind of no caring person he is..Just remember who you are and don't let him take your self esteem and don't let him take you out of character....Keep your head up!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear your husband is such a jerk. My husband will be on disability soon from the military and I don think its a bad thing. It's a constant income with benefits for the rest of his life. Granted he's going to get out and go to school, but due to this income, he is able to do something that he has wanted to do for a few years.
