I gave my old laptop to my son in law. It's battery life was almost nothing and it had too many problems for me to work on, but it is great for watching videos and stuff.. so I gave it to him the other night and he offered me his ROCOU thingy that hooks to the TV so you can watch streaming movies on your TV instead of just using your computer. Wow! What a difference... there's no freezing like there is with my computer... and now I don't have to watch them from my phone. I can also get Disney.. and other free channels... and Crackle is also free. There are commercials in them, but that's okay too.. but I love my Netflix. I'm so happy he gave me their Rocou device. He hooked it up for me and showed me how to use it. They have had it for awhile, so he gave me that because I gave him my old laptop. I didn't ask for it.. but I guess he didn't feel right taking it without giving me back something. I pitied him for trying to get online with that old EMachines that I gave him years ago... it's such a dinosaur. My laptop is of no use to me.. I'm using my little one for all my work. Maybe he felt funny accepting something from me after picking that fight with me the other night.. I don't know... but I'm glad that fight is over and I'm glad that he cared enough to let me have that rocou device since they don't use it much anymore anyway. Are Rocous the only kind of that thing, or are there other brand names? You can even facebook with it, but I would just use my computer.

We've been watching Netflix from our television since we first subscribed to it because we have an XBox 360 here that is able to access our wireless internet. This is something that I love because our children are always able to watch something that is appropriate for them to watch. Now that we've had Netflix for some time now, I couldn't imagine what it would be like to no longer have Nexflix.

I've heard of xboxes but never realized they could do that. I live Netflix too. I'm watching one of my favorite survival documentaries. There are a whole series. I live all the Discovery documentaries.

i LOVE netflix. I use it alot these days - i actually allow my younger teenage sister to use it as well. I find that the more i watch it the more movies and shows appear. Its awesome he gave you the Rocou device ( i did have to go look up what it is!) and awesome of you to give him the old laptop to use.

My laptop is getting old also. It was refurbished and hasn't given me many problems lately so I will keep it around awhile longer. I plan on getting one on HSN where they let you pay it off. I do love Netflix. I can have movies sent to me or watch them on my computer. You son in law sounds like on of the good eggs.

There are other streaming-media boxes out there, but I think that Roku is supposed to be the best. I haven't personally used any of them, so I can't speak from personal experience. However, I think that Roku is probably the one I'd go with if and when we decide to go down that route.

I agree with you, Netflix is brilliant i watch it all the time and because it is so good im not going to bother with a normal TV when i move to go to university ill just watch netflix on my ps3 as it has plenty of differentg things to watch and they keep adding new things all the time.Netflix is much better value for money than paying the TV licence.
