I'm giving away worries! (They are free.)

This has been one of those weeks. When there was a problem to be handled every single day. How often do you have those? And each day I woke up not wanting to deal with the thing in the way of going on with my life. And then I would, it would be over, and I'd sigh in relief. But tomorrow (Thursday) I'm really worried about a conversation I have to have with someone. I pray about it all, but I'm human (unfortunately), and my mind goes back to it all the time. Hand it over to God, worry about it again, give it over to God. I guess when it comes to worries you could say I'm an Indian giver. (you know that old saying) Are you able to just take it one day at a time? Literally we do, but not thinking about the next thing to deal with is getting to be very difficult.

I'm constantly handing God my problems, and then grabbing them back before he has time to help me with them! I've been there before, and it's funny how after whatever it was is over, it's like it wasn't as hard or difficult as we thought it would be. One thing I know I worry over the most is conversations that have to be had, it worries me and I sometimes put it off. I hope that yours goes better then you think it will. Remember, there's no use in worrying over it.. (easier said then done).

I have a few you can have if you run short! I try not to worry either....but sometimes things are just out of your hands...and then like you said you should put them where they belong.....in bigger hands that can handle all our worries....I do try to side track myself so I don't drive myself nuts.....hope things are better today!

Yes my life has been that way as well, there seems to be one problem after another and when would clears up, another begins. I just pray to God to keep me strong and get me through them and I pray to God to keep them away in the first place.

Hi there Ambie, I'm sorry to hear that you are dealing with such a string of bad events. My experience has been that that is pretty much how it works. If it rains...it pours. I think I do pretty well with it all. I do worry and I'll make myself sick over something and then just go "Oh well, I can't worry about this any longer..I can't change it so I just have to deal." Seems to me that as soon as I come to that point..that is when I either think of a solution or something happens to relieve the situation. It happens every time. Knowing that doesn't stop me from worrying..it's my nature but it does help me just let it go. I've been in all sorts of precarious situations over the years and I'm still here and I'm ok so it does work and I know that. Surrounding myself with good people and cherishing all the good times really does help get through the tough times.

Dear Ambie, Like you, I pray about my worries and give them to the Lord. Despite this, I still worry. Worrying is human nature. I will be praying for you.

i pray about my troubles but i continue to worry about them. i have to realize that worrying dosen't solve anything. the problem or problems are still there. i have to take it one step at a time and then deal with it. it is a challenge as my feelings and thoughts change so much. i have to remember one day at a time!!!!I also know God is with me even though i wax and wane with those feelings. the best to you

We lay our burdens down and then we pick them back up again! I know just what you are talking about! I heard something the other day on TV. I seriously cannot believe that I am actually quoting this particular person..... but the quote was from 5O Cent (the rapper). I have no idea what his religious affiliation is, but he said something that I have been using lately. He said "Either worry..... or pray. Don't do both" A light went on in my head! If I've given it to God, then I can't worry. If I'm worrying, then I've taken it back. Maybe, I just need to CONTINUOUSLY PRAY! Aha! After all, the Bible says to "pray without ceasing". I have been reminding myself of this often lately. While I am far from perfect, I am trying to stop doing both worrying AND praying. I'm going to aim for the praying!

Yeah, we all hates problem but we can't run away from it. In fact, there is no use of running away from it, and we should to face it instead. Otherwise the problem will haunt us back. I am not good in dealing with my own problems but I will try my best to solve it. I hope you will do the same. No matter how you hate it so much, face it and solve it.(^^)

you are right, we are the persons to face our problems and get rid from it with our confidence, we must face our challenges with our confidence. We all have lot of will power and we come to know about it while facing problems in our life. Never try to escape from your problems, face it and win over it

I cannot add much to the conversation that has not already been said but this--I absolutely love your "Indian Giver" example of how your thought process towards stress works! I hope remembering your story will help me get over being an Indian Giver myself where worries are concerned. See-you made me smile! Thank you!

hi dear Ambie, you are sure better at this than I ever will be. I am lousy at giving the worries to God and leaving them there. In fact I dont even know how to do this. I have always been a thinker and before I make a decision I will try to see the situation from every different angle possible and then go for one direction. Despite of all the hard thinking its not automatically the best possible direction sometimes but I am only human so I make mistakes. As I am such a thinker the stuff will of course come back all the time. Thats why I still find it so important to take these meds as they make me less vulnerable and thats a real blessing that people were smart enough to invent these meds......

sadly not. Its almost midnight here and I got home from work around 9:45, had some veggies for a late dinner (stomach growls again), took a bath, paid some debts to Husband before they get forgotten and now I was just cleaning out a bit more. Next week will be a bit stressful as two people of the department are off work so guess who will try to keep everything up and running. Boss is on holidays too from tomorrow so thats nice, as it means peace and quiet at work. LOL.

Good evening dear AmbiePam , i dont know if i would call myself a worrier , but when dealling with my dailly basis chores on my work place and when i come back home , even from the very open of the eyes in the morning i like to plan ahead what i want to do , i always do it , and thinking about how to abort the next chore or thing to do on my "working list" , but i rarely worry about it , when i do worry it is when there is a huuge job to do and i dont feel myself well phisically , like having toothacke or headacke , because when i feel bad phisically i tend to be a verry anti-social been and not so pleasent to be around. I wish you a great evening and lot of luck in days to come.

i think every Christian is guilty of doing that meaning worrying and then asking God to take care of it and then worrying again. sadly there is no easy answer except asking people to pray for you.

hi ambiepam nope do not want any more worries, thanks anyway. sometimes we all have weeks when nothing seems to go right for whatever reason then we get stressed and it keeps up going wrong.one day at a time works if you just take it one d ay at a time, not one week, not two days but just one day.we can all handle that surely. I hate it when I have to have a conversation with someone that is sort of confrontational. I hate confrontations and try to avoid them. but sometimes you have to face and do it and get over with it too.Usually it is never as bad as you thought it would be.

I hope your discussion goes well today. I've been having one of those weeks also. Things like financial problems don't usually worry me because we are used to it, but this week for some reason it's got me down. It's nothing new, we're not any worse off than we usually are, but we do have a lot of bills and not enough money coming in, and I worry how the bills are going to get paid. I know everything will be okay, it usually is, but I can't seem to shake the depression over it.

I would gladly say No "Thank You" because I don't want any other worried or problems except mine, which is difficult enough to handle. Worrying comes to us natural and there is nothing we can do about it except handing it over to GOD and he will see us through day after day but this doesn't mean you have to sit and fold your hands about every problem you face daily, it constant and it wouldn't just go away with God alone working over it for you, your actions towards solving such problems matters as it is only then He "GOD" would supersede for us. As the days go by we will surely get new problems to worry over but we need to be prepared for them because there is nothing like a perfect life or worry free life. We just have to handle our problems, they are not worth worrying so much over.

I can take them, however, you have to pay for the transfer fee. I don't know, but I can say I am a worry freak too. I sometimes worry about simple things and the simplest detail. Over analysis is what I almost always do everyday. I just want to get rid of that habit of worrying. But I do notice that being busy and focus on something takes a way the worrier in me. But that something should be enjoyable or something which is nothing to worry about either.

Hi friend, we can easily give away our worries, but no one come forward to take our worries, we are the person to face our problems and worries, we will take the guidance of the god to solve our issues
