the 30th place out of the remaining fifty players. lol! it doesn't look too great but so far i'm really proud of my accomplishment. this is the first full season that i've been capping and betting on mlb. this is my least liked sport to be honest but in my research, i've read how profitable betting mlb can be as long as you use a great system. so far, i'm really happy with the systems that i'm using. half way to the season, i think i'll stick to one system from this point forward. it is a chase system so it can get expensive but in the past seven seasons, it has shown consistently positive returns.i'm not using this system in making my picks for the betting pool but rather my own picks. just goes to show how much i $uck at betting mlb.
anyway, back to the betting pool. during the first month,i actually ranked first a couple of times. back then, there were close to 150 players. i started losing and i started chasing my losses. so i dropped in the standings and the other players started getting better at making their own picks. in the weeks leading to and right before the all-star break, they made a number of cuts so now there are only fifty players remaining in the pool. honestly, i don't think i can make it to the top ten but that's ok. i joined the contest to gain experience and learn so that i'll be a better capper at baseball.
anyway, have you guys have any experience joining betting pools for baseball? how was it? how did you guys fare? care to share any pointers?
feel free to chime in and happy mylotting everyone.
thanks and cheers!!!
