How did you feel when you found out about your baby's gender?

While waiting for our turn to have the ultrasound, my husband was so tensed. I asked him why and he said he didn't know. When we did the process, I could see the happiness in his eyes and the excitement of seeing your own baby. He told me how grateful and proud he is to be a father of our baby boy. I also feel the same way as he does. It's a happiness that comes from within that has no limits or boundaries. How about you? Have you experience the same feeling?

When I was pregnant, I didn't know my baby's gender at all since here the doctors are not allowed to tell this to the pregnant women. But if there was a chance for me to know it, perhaps I was not so keen on it anyway. As I like to have a surprise. All I want to know and care about is my baby is healthy and fine. This is what I concern about. No matter whether the baby is a boy or a girl, I still love him/her as he/she is our child. I love China

As some families prefer to have a boy rather than a girl. However, this situation is not so usual, especially in the big cities.

Hi there! I think there is more excitement when you know about the baby's gender on the day that he or she is born. Anyway, I'm just wondering why the doctors are not allowed to tell you the gender? I'm just curious..

In my first pregnancy the hospital would not disclose the gender at the twenty week scan. I wasn't able to find out my baby's gender until he was born. During my pregnancy I thought my baby was a boy and I was right. I was twenty two years old when he was born. Years passed and when my son was twelve years old I announced my next pregnancy. I was able to go to a private clinic at sixteen weeks pregnancy to have a gender scan. I felt there was something wrong and cried on my way back home. I found out I was expecting a baby boy but I didn't find out he was disabled until thirty six weeks pregnancy. In my third pregnancy the hospital's consultant found out I was pregnant. For sixteen weeks pregnancy she sent me to visit the fetal medicine expert for a detailed scan. They wanted to find out if my baby was disabled. I asked the expert the gender of my baby and he said a girl. He was right. I felt over the moon to finally be having a daughter. My children are now seventeen years old, five years old and three years old.

Hi! My husband was always with me when I have monthly check ups and luckily we can see the baby every month until I gave birth. I can see my husband was happy when he saw our son at the screen. Ever since we had our son he is so works harder and never got tired of us. Our son is truly a great blessing from God.

It's the same with my husband. He is always there for the monthly checkup. I think the happiness of having a baby is indeed immeasurable.

On our first child, we were excited and a bit tensed too. My husband joined me for every ultrasound session I had. He was hoping for a boy since the first child, yet, we are blessed with girls. He still adores them and enjoys playing with them.

There are blessings-wonderful ones. I think your girls are so cute. I want to have one. It's cute to play dress up with them.

When we went in for the second ultrasound, we didn't know we'd be finding out the gender yet. We thought it would be another month before they could tell for sure. When the doctor asked us if we wanted to know, we just looked at each other for a second. In some ways, we did want to know, but in others we didn't. We wanted to know so we'd be able to have a name picked out, and so we'd decorate the nursery in the proper color scheme. But we also kind of wanted to be surprised too... You can't have it both ways, so she told us. Half of me was really happy when we found out it was a boy, because my boyfriend was happy. But I was also kind of disappointed. I've always wanted a little girl to play dress-up and tea-party with. Someone to kind of bond with. But, you can't really change it, so I'm happy. He'll be spoiled rotten, because he's the first biological grandchild (his step-brother has two daughters) on his side, and the first at all on my side.

for me, there is nothing to do with the gender of the baby, the baby itself is already a blessing for a couple!
