Lets pretend for a moment!

Imagine that mylot did not exist(now remember, we are pretending here)...what would you be doing with your time? I know that I would be on the computer as that is what I do most of my day, let it be at work or home. But, would we free up more time for ourselves/family? Just ponder this for a moment! Because we do have to get back to mylotting...lol!

well, I might be spending more time to read or play with my daughter. If not I just browsing around and checking email.

You have the right the idea i like earning money online but you dont realise how much your on the computer and your family life suffers. So i think that is a good suggestion.

I find that technology has taken away so much time from being social. We are just spending way too much time with electronics sometimes.

i do lots of things in my spare time i like to play indoor football and go to the gym so if i wasnt on my computer mylotting i would proberley be doing that. I also like to earn extra money off the internet and i spend my spare time searching for ways to that i currently do this by taking part in online surveys. If mylot was to shut down im sure that people would find a website that is similar and be doing that.

I tried surveys for awhile. I just found it was taking up too much of my time and honestly, sometimes it was hard for me to stay awake long enough to finish. Kudos to you for getting involved in surveys. I guess some of us have more patience than others.

I really don't mind doing surveys I have made some reasonably good money of it and find them interesting when I hit my targets and get paid I find it worthwhile and rewarding

Herro Gottasayit74 What an interesting question...I too am online most of my day, although I do cook, laundry, dishes, water my roses. run errands... My husband watches a lot of TV... Online, I skype, blog, surf traffic exchanges, play mind challenging games, and of course mylot... I use mylot for a lot of searches, product info, news items, finding web sites, etc. I don't answer discussions or create discussions as often as I could, I think I will increase productivity there. Mylot is very useful for getting your questions answered. Many product reviews on here are great to use before making your big purchase. I wish I had more time on here, but as you said, life is crazy at times.

If it never existed, I'm pretty sure something similar would and I'd probably be actively indulged there as well. Like you, I spend most of my free time online so you can bet that I would be with the computer whenever I am not with my girlfriend r bus doing something else.

Mylot has been down so much recently that we don't have to pretend. There are a lot of other things to occupy your time online and also to earn you much more money. I will now seriously consider if I will stay here or not after the next payout. I just see mylot becoming more and more like Facebook and Twitter, with the same mindless followers. No one wants to discuss things anymore. It is a waste of time being here.

i am thinking on the same lines it is the same old people some people post really good discussions some want people dont really want to discuss anything. So i am thinking the same take the money and run. The fact that mylot has been down a lot recently is really frustrating.

No,I would have been on yahoo answers,(wastage of time).Before this I was posting on yahoo answers all the time,for no apparent reason.I just love the thing I am doing..'wasting time'.But mylot is giving me little compensation,unlike yahoo answers for 'wasting time'. I actually love mylot more than YA,due to several other reasons including.. 1)the responses that I am getting,(In YA i got more abuses) 2)the emoticons 3)Profile page(i like messing up with HTTPs) :(reasons are countless.

I agree with you about YA. The amount that people would insult is amazing! Some people just don't have anything better to do than to insult people with answers that have nothing to do with the questions being asked. Mylot is much better and as you said, there is compensation for giving answers.

Well, from a member who has been active here for over 6 yrs. now it is hard to remember back before myLot. I know that if it did not exist I am sure I would have found something else to fill my life with. I may not have heard about the Jerky Business though, and glad I was told about that, even if the person has not been active here for a really long time.

I would indeed be disheartened if mylot were but a memory in the internet world. I guess i would still be active somewhere else on the internet trying to find a way to make a difference.

I would be SO sad without MyLot! I love being here so much. But if there was no mylot, I would probably be playing some games online, checking my email and doing more things offline. I would not really have too much reason to be online anymore that's for sure... I hope Mylot will be here for a VERY long time! =)
