On my quest to make where I live a little more enjoyable / able to get around in.... Well I've decided to buy a set of drawers that are plastic and can roll around. They are sterilite drawers, and sterilite is a good company. I don't have the money to yet, but I will be ordering these soon. I really HAVE no room for it, but I think I can make a little room temporarily in the bathroom until I can clear out other areas. I will most likely be buying other containers in the mean time. I'm just so tired of all of the stuff being... sooo everywhere. A lot of it IS mine, but A LOT of it is everyone else's too. There's really no way to describe it, it's just a very crazy mess everywhere. Since I've been straightening and cleaning I've felt a lot better. I still have a long way to go but I think if I can do my part to make things a little cleaner (which means cleaning everyone else's stuff too) then we will all be in better moods here. So what, it's a late spring cleaning, atleast it's getting done. Anyone wanna come help? I'll um.. feed you.. yeah...

Hun, I just did an 8 hour round trip to bring another car load of the new roommate's stuff back. I already have 6 sheds in the back yard, I have enough stuff to fill another house! I think I have my hands full here - sorry...

I think we are going to have to clean out the green shed and repack it but then maybe we'll have a place for all her braille books...

You are the one who could help the most too! Oh Darn! Well I hope that project isn't as hefty as cleaning the house and organizing all of those sheds before! Let's just hope this roomie works out and isn't more hassle then it's worth, eh?

Hmm... Well it's just one shed right? Though with all of those sheds... might as well make a mini house! (putting them all together)

I'm glad that you decided to order a set. I'm sure it will help you feel better about being organized. I often feel good after I've got something to help me keep up with everything. I recently had to buy another planner because I bought one before our trip and later realized that the months aren't in their proper order. For a lot of months it has the wrong months and dates mixed up. And of course I can't find my receipt. So I just decided to grab another. I love the look of this one better and I feel good because I will be able to keep everything I need planned together. With your organizing I understand having to organize everyone elses things. I feel better when the house is in order even when that means I have to pick up after my husband.

I've not ordered it yet, but yeah I just have to get all of this stuff organized. Plus I do need to know what all I have (literally I don't know WHAT all I have!) Now that planner being all unorganized like that is odd! I'd have written the manufacturer and explained, maybe they could send you another?

Yeah, a lot of the stuff was my mom's that I inherited when she passed. Some things I picked out myself, others were "given to me" as in handed to me, while others my grandmother brought back to me and I don't know what some of those are... Plus I already know that everytime I move out of this house (I've moved several times) I end up with some of my grandmother's stuff! lol! In any case, yeah I'd definitely look into the planner, it's odd that so many were backwards. I wonder if it was a conveyor malfucntion?

You will have fun going through it all :). You may find something that you have been looking for and haven't been able to find. I found some avon lotion when I was cleaning out drawers for our move. I love the smell of it so it was like I had went to the store and bought something. I will have to check into that about the planner it was really strange. I never would have thought to check through a planner to make sure the months are in the right order. I thought it would be ok if one month was mixed up but it's a few months and I didn't want the hastle of trying to write it all in. And that would make my planner look ugly anyway :).

I think I am a good organizer. I would come help. Organizing is fun and its such a good feeling when you get done. Won't you be glad when you have a place of your own?! Stuff not being everywhere, able to put thing where you want and how you want and no messes. Ya, I bet you'll like that.

Uhm... It's just.. well.. I'm a hoarder! I'd just be able to hoard in my own space! Well atleast I could keep it clean... This place needs more then just organizing, but all I can do is buy things to organize my stuff, and make it that much better!

I am not sure if your area has one, but have you looked online to see if there is a free recycling web site. I belonged to one when I was in Idaho and had gotten some great things from them. The great thing is that you can post items that you want to give away not sell for money. Others post their items as well. I had gotten a couple of CD towers for free as well as jewel cases for CDs. I had given away a mircrowave oven to a woman who needed one badly because her's broke and she used it to heat up baby bottles.

We have a lot of containers here, they are all just being used lol. I don't really want to go to freecycle or any site like that for mine. I'd rather it be new. Containers and such for free could be warped and just so many other things. I guess I'm too picky for my own good in that respect.

I got fed up with all the stuff and started pitching/organizing for a garage sale a few weeks ago. So far, I have cut my wardrobe and my daughters by about a quarter each. decided that hanging on to all of her clothes from when she was an infant is just taking up too much space. I am taking one box, or one drawer or one shelf at a time and just getting rid of stuff that I have not used in the last 6 months to a year. Tomorrow, I am tackling the toy room....this could lead to many melt downs.

It is just an incredibly mess with a family of hoarders over here, so while I'm so happy you can get rid of those clothes? Nope, not me. I have clothes I don't wear, won't wear, but can't seem to want to get rid of... Good luck on the toy chest, I know that will be hard with your girl around and wanting everything you throw away...
