When I was still studying I have never heard of an art called vector art which is the use of points, lines, curves, and shapes or polygons to represent an image. I have been try to do vector art for almost 5months and I don't know if I have been improved myself, but I do believe that I have improved in using and experimenting in different process and procedures in doing a vector artwork. Some of my vector artworks can be seen in this link http://worksanddesign.daportfolio.com/gallery/710001. I know that I am not professional artist, but I will assure that all my works are really good and that could really satisfy my viewers.

Interesting way of describing vector art - "to represent an image." That, to me, implies something similar to Impressionist paintings where dots are used to represent an image but the artist doesn't actually paint their subject... so up close it's just a bunch of dots but from a distance you can see the intended image. You know what I mean? Basically, vector art is a form of digital art that is scalable to any size without losing quality, whereas, even the highest resolution jpg or png file (flat graphic formats) will lose quality as you scale it. And that's actually what the file extension *.svg stands for - scalable vector graphic. It is used a lot in producing screens or plates for screen printing.

Oh that is so nice! I love your art! I have not done vector art, but had the class in illustrator in school. I enjoyed it but not enough to stay with it as I preferred photoshop. But your are is really amazing, and I like it very very much. You should consider opening up a deviant art website. I hope you continue with your art and go to www.etsy.com and start up a greeting card business!!! Here is an example of my art, it's none vector: www.etsy.com/listing/104257242/portrait-of-your-cat-dog-or-horse

There's a trend in my town these days. Every corner, there's this flower like plastic with a lot of holes inside. A string is attached to a pen at one end and the other end to the plastic so that by turning the plastic,a lot of beautiful perfect designs are made. -one type of vector art.
