Do your prefer drinking cold water than hot or lukewarm water?

Am not an H20 fan, actually. And I struggle finishing a glass in a day. Imagine?! Am not sure what's with water that I can't really get myself to drink more. I can drink at least a cup or two of coffee, or a watermelon shake, or a coconut juice, but not water. And I know it's very essential. But, recently, I came to help myself by drinking hot water in stead. Sometimes, lukewarm is good enough. I dunno if my dislike to water has anything to do with the water being cold or iced cold at times. But, I prefer it warm. Some benefits of drinking warm water, at least with me are: it helps my stomach digest better. Based on my observation. I think I read somewhere before that it helps detoxify and it helps if you have constipation problem. It soothes my throat. It's somewhat sensitive to cold so drinking warm water doesn't give bad effects to my sensitive throat. How about you? What's your preference?

aha! i'm kinda surprise that someone out here shares the same dilemma as mine. H20 isn't also my cup of tea, i seldom drink it,really! just like you, i prefer coffee or tea, juices of any flavor, but like what you've said, not water. however, there are times when water is the only drink available, what do i do? of course, i take it...only when i feel so thirsty; if not, i don't. But i never have tried drinking hot water. if i'm to drink water, it has to be cold.

It's so nice to meet someone who has the same concern as mine. You know this has made me believe am weird or something. So, now that there's the two of us, I don't think I would still feel anything bizarre. Maybe, there are still more out there who are just like us. Have you started feeling anything inside your body because of this concern? Cause, it caused me UTI just because of not drinking water. The suggested water intake is traditionally 8 glasses a day and I can't even finish one. Sometimes, I can go without it. There are times I can last a day without any fluids at all. Which is terrible. In fact, I think my thirst has already shut down that there are times I don't feel thirsty no matter how tired I am. That's why I try to find ways to help me. Like, I'd eat very salty or sweet food. Somehow it makes me crave for something to drink.

I'm not a big water fan either. But in order for me to drink water it must be ice cold.

I like drinking cold water. I used to be like you, I dont like to drink water. I just drink juices, softdrinks, shakes and the like. but when I started working out, I find it hard not to drink water so it became a habit for me. And we do really need to drink water or else complications may come to our body.

I really like drinking water and after a health problem that I had my doctor told me to drink as muh as I can every day! I might drink 4-5 litres every day and I like it in room temperature. If it's bottled water I don't like putting it in the fridge or else I drink tap water which is cooler but not cold! If it's too hot outside, I might put one ice or two, just to make the cooling last for a while!

So, you're fine with a room temp water, huh? But, you are ok drinking it regardless it's cold, warm or what have you. And, it depends on the weather, too. hmmm And you drink like 4-5 liters! You are a healthy one. I wish to learn that habit before I start becoming sorry for its bad effects.

Haha! :) Thanks. The truth is that I like water, I don't think I would drink so much if I didn't like it! And it's also good for the health, I am now trying to convince my boyfriend to drink more but he is not a big fan of water! He likes coffee and juices so I am always bringing him a glass of water with his coffee/coke/juice and sometimes he drinks it. Maybe you can try it, just bring a glass of water even if you don't want to drink at the moment. When I was young, I had read in a health magazine that when we feel thirsty, our body has already started being dehydrated. I haven't searched it further but water helps a lot in keeping our bodies hydrated and in good shape!

I see where in the same country and as you can see mostly it is hot these days that is why I prefer to drink cold/ice cold water because it is refreshing. If you really want to get used to drinking water try this method, bring a pitcher of water in your room and a glass then promise to drink 1 glass every hour or every 2 hours depending on what you can tolerate. It maybe hard to do in the first few days and you will experience frequency in urination but the following days it it will be gone and you will feel more healthy. Good day and God bless

Believe me, I have already tried that trick. Thought it's gonna work. But, NO! *sigh* I always bring with me a bottle of water, you know. Where I work, in my bedroom, on top of my desk... There was even a time when I timed myself. I set up an alarm to remind me that it's already time to have another glass. Didn't work either. It's such a chore for me to keep up with this habit. For whatever reason. And my stomach fills sooo heavy each time I got to sip some. But, thanks so much for your concern and advice. :)

I love drinking water,I can drink more than the required number of glasses everyday. Moreover i also drink coffee of two or three. It is good for our body,It helps us release some salt particles in our kidneys that we get by eating salty foods especially junk foods.

i love my water to be luke warm, maybe because im not used to drinking it cold, but water alone no matter if it's hot, cold or lukewarm can detoxify our body, and yes it also helps for natural digestion process thus eliminating the possibility of constipation.

I'm not a huge water drinker, either. but when I crave it, I only can drink the really cold one. I hate warm water, it makes my tummy feel really bad, I feel as if I'm going to vomit if I drink that. Cold ater can be good after working out for me or when it's really hot. But overall, if I can, I'd pick something else, loike flavoured mineral water or fruit juice.

Cold water definitely. The cooler it is the better. And it is easier for me to drink water when it is more cold.
