I like walking after dinner,what about you?

I like walking after dinner very much.I think walking after dinner is a healty lif style,for mental health as well as for physical health.why shall i say like this?In our daily life,after a big meal,many people like to be seated and watch TV,It seems to be very cozy.In fact it's bad for health.The best way is to take a walk after a meal,because walking is good for digestion.Meanwhile,taking a walk also brings a chance to enjoy beauty and relax your yourself.what about you?do you agree with me?:)

My Chinese friends and neighbors often do that. It became their habit. After a meal i prefer to watch television seating or lying. I'm a lazy person. I spend most of the time seating. I eat enough, watch my diet and do a regular exercise so I'm not afraid of getting fat. But, no matter how health conscious we are we are still exposed to toxins. Tsk!

Hi simonelee,you are right,many people often do this in China,you prefer to seating or lying,maybe this is just personal preference,but we must try to stay away from toxins.

I'm gaining weight since i stop exercising. Maybe i should join my Chinese neighbors walking. They love to walk, they prefer to walk than riding a cab or any mode of transportation. Before i was thinking they value money so they tend to walk, i didn't realize the health benefits why they prefer walking. Anyway, are you Chinese? Your name sounds one.

I do that to digest the food I am eating after a big full meal. I can get bloated if the food doesn't digest in my stomach. Then I will have stomach aches. hehehehe

Generally, I go for jogging in the evening. walking after dinner may be good to speedup metabolism. but walking immediately after meal may cause some kind of discomfort like stomachache. wait atleast for half an hour after meal then proceed for slow walk for 10-20 minute.

I agree. I don't like doing it in the summer because we live in the mountains way out in the country so there are way too many bugs out around that time in the evening. But, I do usually take a walk early in the morning and I don't normally just sit and do nothing after dinner. I'm usually up cleaning the kitchen which usually ends up with me straightening the living room and/or dining room so I'm still on my feet and moving. My parents used to have dessert after dinner every night but they began to get fat. Their doctor told them that they should take a walk after dinner and consider that their dessert. So, they started doing that and lost weight which led them to feeling much healthier. More people should do this.

hehe that is a great idea, walking after dinner or eating meal. but also im a lazy person sometimes i sit and watch tv instead. well im trying to practice this habit walking after eating meals.
