Here I am beside my son. His holding a book and his asking me to read it. I'm happy that at such a very age he already appreciates book. At just 25 months, he already knows the alphabet, can identify colors, shapes, animals and fruits, and can count from 1 to 20. I'm very proud of him to think that we don't actually teach him that much. Now after the reading his books he stand to look at the animal posters on our wall. They said at his age, they memory is very good so they can easily memorize things but they don't necessarily understand it. As far I remember, I have learned my alphabet when I was 5. How about you? Children today are more advance than before. What's your thought?

With different learning materials readily available nowadays such computers, cheaper books, a lot more interactive type of materials, colorful stuffs and food supplements available in the market which are the results of years of research to improve humanity, it's no wonder children nowadays are well nourished and sometime overnourished, they tend to become fast learners and adopts well to their environment. Unlike some decades ago, learning has its few good, just remembering those black and white pictures, strict and merciless mentors and teachers which gave you nightmares and with lesser interactive activities, children in this generation and well fed and well provided.

Your son is very smart. In fact today the children seem to be much more intelligent than us. It is good for your son to be interested in reading. It is a good beginning. You shall read more for him. He will be beneficial from it when he grows up. Reading is a good habit for everybody. I love China

Yeah that's true. It seems that children now are more advance than we are yesterday. Anyway, I think the modern technology helps a lot. Aside from books, my son loves watching educational videos. So I keep on researching helpful videos for my son. We let him watch for certain hour because I don't want him to just watch. I want him also to play. Thanks for the response.

I am impress with your son. He will be pretty smart when he reaches school. Give him proper training as early as possible so that he'll learn things quicker. With proper education and guidance, your son will be an achiever.

Thank you. I will assure he gets the best education. I actually want him to go to school this early but my husband said since his caregiver is very goo din teaching him, then he better stay at home for now. His caregiver is already teaching him how to write and read. By next year, I will send him to school. Thanks for the response.

yes it very very obvious that children today are very advanced. I also learnt alphabets when i was 5. I have seen my friends daughter like your son, she is also 2 years some months old. i went to the mall with my friend and her daughter. We were trying to buy her some toys, but she doesn't want toys. She went to a book shop and was picking Cinderella books and many more kids books. As she was sitting in the the stroller as we roamed all over the mall, this little kid was flipping the pages and trying to read what ever in her own way. She looked so cute. I told my friend that i have never seen kid that ever. at such an early age she had love for books, it was amazing. same goes to your son Shylade. pass my love to him. i am a fan of him.
