we have one avocado tree . so we just boiled the leaves and it is what i am drinking right now. it tastes quite good. just add enough water so it won't taste bitter. it taste quite sweet actually. so i may want to have it as often as possible. but of course not too often or the avocado tree would run out of leaves before it will be able to bring out new leaves. at least this is free. although what is the health benefits of drinking the avocado tea.

From what I can tell, it doesn't appear that there are any health benefits from drinking avocado tea. I could not find a single legitimate source that supports the idea that there is anything to be gained from consuming the concoction. If you enjoy the beverage, drink it. However, don't expect great health benefits from it. I'm not saying that it couldn't yield benefits--simply that there is a lack of evidence that there are benefits. Honestly, you would probably be better off having an avocado smoothie, guacamole or other dish with avocado in it. We know that avocado is a healthy thing to include in one's diet.

This is new as everybody is going gaga over new teas. There's a lot of avocadoes in my community but I guess nobody is making tea out of their leaves. The fruits even ripen on the tree, drop and rot where they fell. Why shouldn't these people think of making use of these trees? They spend a lot on commercial teas and fed their children with specially preserved avocado fruits but they don't realize that free avocadoes abound in the neighborhood!

That's really great :). I would love to have a cup of that precious tea as well, especially now because it's raining. Well from what I have read from the internet, it's loaded with vitamins b and c. I guess like most safe herbal teas, it has beneficial effects to our body. Nevertheless, we should take everything in moderation :).
