Well it might be worth mentioning that if you do have a steady income, low or not, you can apply for a home loan. Have you tried that yet? Because if you yourself have to save up the money for a house, it might be quite a while before you're moving into anything.

No I haven't steady income and I don't want to apply a home loan because I don't want to become a debtor. If I become a debtor, all my life, I must pay for bank. I try to svae some money and start learn about stock market.

A nice house is a dream for any man or anyone my friend! I know what you mean. I am a low on the scale paid worker in my country here as well and I am well aware that it will take me years to afford to own such a thing. In Canada house cost's very but where I live you would be looking at 200,000 bucks CAD for a decent one. In comparably to my income I make that in about 20 years if I never spend. lol

My husband and I bought a house two years ago, and it is a small semi-detached house. Our house cost about $150000. My husband and I both have relatively low salaries, and it would have been impossible for us to save up that much money, so we had to to borrow the money. We have two different loans and we it will take us 30 years to pay back the loans unless we are able to save up some money and pay off the loans faster. We have the same salaries as we had when we lived in a rented place, but we actually have money more left per month today, because the rented house where we used to live was quite expensive. I hope that you will achieve your goal about a house. It sounds like a long term goal, but I don't think that it is impossible if you save up as much as you can each month

Yes, that is hard when buy some thing big like a house. To buy a house in my country, I think I must have about 20.000 - 50.000$ to buy a apartment. I hope that possible to my goal! Thank you, have great day!

In my country there are houses of several prices but noone buys houses without a loan and a morgage. It`s difficult to save money for such a big thing because money loses its acquisitive power.

Can´t you make a down payment for a small home and pay the mortgage with what you pay in rent? That´s what many people do here.

In India,if we work for 6 months in any company with 20,000 inr per month. We are eligible for loans. Here we have to pay minimum 10,000 per month rent.So we will take loans, instead of paying rent we will pay it to the bank. After 5 to 6 years house will be ours. I dont know about your country.May be you people also had a chance to take loans from banks.happy earnings=good house

Where i live in the United States you can find homes for all price ranges. Mobile homes can be as cheap as a few thousand dollars. But we have been looking at homes that are 75,000-100,000 dollars that are really nice! Usually 3-4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, etc... Usually here you want to put 5% down payment on the home but you can get a loan that doesn't require a down payment. Work hard, save money and you will reach your goal!

My first home was a tiny cottage in Kent, England. In 1991 I bought it and it cost 43 thousand pounds. I sold it for 110 thousand pounds in 2005. I then bought a modern house for 117 thousand pounds. I sold it in 2010 which was in the recession where house prices had fallen. I sold it for little more than I had bought it for. I bought my bungalow for 158 thousand pounds. I paid 100 thousand pounds for it and had to get a mortgage for 60 thousand pounds. I pay that money off a bit every month. At the end of my mortgage the money will be paid off. House prices vary in my home country. I hope a few years from now you will have a better paid job so that your savings can grow considerably. Then you will be able to buy a house. Over the years most of my money has gone on traveling. I was so lucky that I bought my first home at age 19 years old. Now I am aged 40 years old in my third property.

If you want to achieve something you must take a debt. In ten years time the money you are paying to the bank will be a small amount as your salary will keep increasing. AS for the house its value will keep increasing. So you will have anyway to work harder and have to save a lot to buy a house. Why not buy it now. Hope you get a cozy house with a wife and children soon. Goodluck.

Well, in my country (Italy), the houses are very expensive. Also I'd like a house to myself, but unfortunately I do not have the economic opportunity, especially because at the moment, unfortunately I'm unemployed, and this, for me is something very serious! But I hope in a future "rosy" a tomorrow where I have my private residence omniconforts. Impossible goal? Well, you can never say in life!

I don't have a house. I am also constantly working at a low paying job and saving for things to buy in the future. I wish to buy a house but not yet soon. It's really very costly to buy a house in our country. I am not still thinking about that. I just want to save for my future and buy the things that I need and have to have like a house, a car or make a business.
