What should I do with a co-worker who needs more attention?

I have a co-worker who always do irritating action that actually irk my temper.I tried to make him a friend by letting him join when I offered foods to other workers,yet he is still becoming more irritating that I like to have a one in one fight with him.What should I do to make him stop his foolishness?

You should talk to him privately and tell him that his behavior is really not to your pleasing and that he is starting to make you feel very uncomfortable. Ask him nicely to do something about it to prevent further problems in the future.

We have been having some sort of reconciliation that makes us more friendly.I have also manage to adjust to his attitudes as what my boss suggested even if he is too hard to understand.

Oh, this actually reminds me of a friend I have. His attitude is actually irritating to most but when you get used to it, you'll find out that he is really a good person aside from his irritating and somewhat hostile attitude.

I have done a lot of reconciliation with this guy,so that I have a chance to become a friend to him that I thought it would be more easier let him be not be irritating in the process,yet I am not successful because he is still annoying.He is a very self centered person that always have a special attention from all of us because he is a jealous type.
