Well I have both Fedora and Windows 7 and windows installed in my system. But when I consider performance then Fedora take me up and I loved to log on into it than Windows which takes me around 3 minutes to take charge while Fedora takes me around 2 minutes to take charge fully. What is your favorite OS and is it installed in your system. Why I still go with windows is that I started my system touch with Windows 98, XP and now 7. Soon I will be buying 8.

I have been using Windows 95, 97, XP and windows 7. At home I use Windows XP while at office I am forced to use Windows 7. Being a long time user of Windows XP, it seems to be taking time for me to get used to Windows 7. Hence, as of now, I would say that I prefer Windows XP.

I am using Windows XP and 7. When compared to Windows 7, I prefer XP only. I have not used any other OS.

I too prefer Windows XP. I found it amazingly easy to use. I had quite a few problems with Windows 7 that I got installed only a few days ago. I am still learning about this OS. I hope I can get the hang of this one soon. I am having to call up my friend to ask things often.

I also liked Windows XP, but when virus had taken over my system I tried to re install but my Boot disk was corrupted. So I have to move to Windows 7.

Hi, It has been less than a week since I changed from Windows XP to Windows 7. Initially I had some trouble with this new OS as I am not used to it at all and it is quite different from XP in some ways. I am still learning how to handle this. I spent quite an amount in buying the Windows 7 original version. One of my friends told me he would give me the pirated version for free but I prefer to buy an original OS as it is safer and legal. I have not heard of Fedora though.

I do not know about Fedora. Window 7 I use is ok. However, I would like to use Fedora to compare. Do you know if Window Vista is more protected than Window 7? My PC was vista and then I changed it to Window 7. So far so good. But I know that Vista has a strong protection

Fedora is a linux based OS and is supported by Red hat community. Windows 7 is more protected than windows vista. It is good that you have changed to windows 7 it boots faster, takes less RAM, and has good security feature.

I am using Windows xp,windows 7,fedora and redhat products. Comparing with windows products open source products are working fine. They are not so much user friendly comparing with windows products. That's why windows product are leading in the market. Microsoft also now trying to contact with linux systems. The main advantage of open source product is any body can change the code as per their wish and bring the product to live. Windows did not give source code and it is always upgrading to new versions which is always consuming too much of hard disk space and ram size. Every time if a windows product launched you need to upgrade your computer by spending money. That is the drawback of windows.

Windows 7 is good but its protection feature makes installation of several application difficult.
