Who says we have to grow up and be sensible all the time.Both my husband and I spent the day messing around with out grandchildren started with a couple of hours in the park playing on the swings playing with the dog and generally having fun and being silly.Came back for lunch then back out into the garden for a game of cricket,we cheated,pinched the ball and generally fell about laughing my daughter came back and saw us all falling around laughing and generally being like little kids.She smiled as she saw what fun we were having.So come on lets have some fun it costs nothing and I can assure you will feel better for it.

It only goes to show you that it's never too late to have a happy childhood. Too many adults leave play to children when we all can benefit from playing a little more. Talk about an awesome stress reliever!

I think that's great that y'all do that.I know the kids love it. y'LL ARE MAKING MEMORIES W/YOUR GRANDS THAT THEY WILL NEVER FORGET.I have such fond memories of my grandparents & i want my grands to have the same for me.

Hi suzzy3, This is very true! I often wonder why we think that we have to be serious all the time just because we are adults! I remember when my mother was in her eighties(she was within weeks of her 87th birthday when she passed on), she would go with us and the children to the parks and just have a great time. She especially loved the swings. We really need to get out there and have fun with our kids and grand kids, after all life is meant to be fun. Blessings.

womderful day. My son comes to see me and we often get into youtube for some of the fu nniest silliest videow that have us both
laughing. He is like his father was, a man with a great
sense of humor. being with children is always a fun time
as they are not bound by the rules we old people have.'jus

They say life comes a full circle, playing with your grandchildren we tend to re-vist our childhood days again and become kids like them. Also to play with kids you have to come down to the level of children to play with them and enjoy their company otherwise even kids wont have fun with you. I have a lot of neice and nephews and i am speaking from experience ha ha ha ha ha.
Am recently married but am still a kid at heart. My husband calls me a kid every now and then and always reminds me to grow up. Its okay for now but tommorrow when i become a mother i will not have the luxury for kidding around and would ve to quikly turn responsible hmmmm.

you sound a lot of fun.That is essential in life especially when you have your own children.Having the ability to get down to your childs level is such an asset.I had friends that always tried to make thier kids look small,take the mick out of them cruel I call it.The husband was always explaining complicated electronics to his son poor kid did not understand a thing.For some reason he had to prove he was intelligent to his son.We did not bother with that with ours if they had a good idea we would go along with it.Having fun is what sets you up for life.My mum used to play ludo,bingo,cards and in the nice weather we were taken to the park or out for long walks.That is what I did with mine.Don't grow up you will be boring.
