Why do people gamble?

I wonder why people gamble literally in casinos or any form of gamble that is related to money.. Even though chances of winning is very thin. So what do you think why people gamble??

because it's fun and exciting. you get a rush of emotions when yo find out that you won. you feel giddy and excited while you wait in anticipation to see if you have won. i don't gamble. i choose my brain over my emotions

they gamble because of MONEY. wherein it is no longer the source of all evil but the source of necessity. :)
