If you mix less salt in your food in every day's meal the risk of cancer will be lessen. If food like meat, curry, loaf or morning meal can be prepared with minimum salt risk of cancer can be avoided. Quoting the World Cancer Research Fund of UK BBC said, if the people follow the directive to take less salt in their food the risk of cancer in stomach will be lessen remarkably. The research workers said, earlier it was known that salt is liable for high blood pressure. Consequently heart disease attacks. At the same time cancer can be created in humans body. So the doctors gave advice not to take more than 6 grams of salt in a day. The main cancer research center of UK said one person usually takes 8.6 grams of salt everyday. In UK every year about six thousand people are attacked by cancer. If people can make habit of taking less salt then 14% of them can get free from cancer.

Food depends on the condition of health. If salty food is suitable for health than it is better to take salty food. But excessive salt is always harmful. We should follow doctor's advice.

I don't like salt as it is, and I cook without it at all times. It's just too bad that so many places put so much salt in their food. They just don't care at all. My husband puts salt on everything, but doesn't listen to me when I tell him not to use so much of it. Hopefully the restaurants will figure this out and start reducing how much they put in their food. It disgusts me the amount of salt that's in food nowadays.

The body need salt but anything taken in excess is not at all good. If it does really cause cancer then I wonder where many junk eaters now stand. As for me my latest executive check up showed I lack salt in my body and that isn't good either. Anyway, I believe cancer is rampant today because many people do love to eat processed meats such as sausages, hotdogs, ham, etc. They have been found to contain sodium nitrate which can cause cancer but people still eat them because they are easy to prepare. Too bad!

I never use excess salt. Our bodies do need salt to a degree but to add it to every meal is unecessary and can give you other health problems as well. Sometimes i don't even add it to the water when I boil potatoes. I know there are some chefs out there who will beg to differ on that but I really am afraid of consuming to much salt to a degree. I think most foods have adequate amounts and you don't need to add a whole lot like the cooking shows I watch show you to do. They really add to much I think.
