Another lame excuse by Dhoni

India
July 24, 2012 10:17pm CST
Now after a dismal performance by himself at on back and front of wickets, poor decision making, and wrong blowing pickups at wrong time and over confidence has shown what he meant. He has nothing to say about himself so he cannot blame others too like blowers didn't do well, or top batsman were not scoring or lower batsman were not picking up. He now blamed the earth, the same earth that they played Sri Lanka and they won with a good Run Per Over than what India has performed. What do you think, is Dhoni doing good anymore, its the other who are playing and he just taking all claims and he also lost his cool as he don't know what excuses to make now. I think they must had meeting after lose and decided to blame the ground for their failure.

Hello bloodmask, it was a very bad performance from Indian cricket team yesterday. Sri Lankan bowlers were too good and they picked Indian wickets easily. I don't think that it was only due to the mistake of the skipper. But I agree that Dhoni must have done something to avoid these kind of a defeat .

Yeah that't what I am saying, its not the mistake of the skipper its the mistake of the player, the player named Dhoni who takes the game as he did all if the game won and blame the team if lost. Or blame the ground if not won, or could not lead his team to victory.

I think this is the problem with the Indian team that they tend to be very inconsistent in the shorter forms of the game. I think that is because there are too many stroke makers and very few who can lay the anchor if need be. So Dhoni has to give some excuses when the famed batting line up fails. Cheers! Ram

Well, I think, in such circumstances, one should fairly say that "We played badly". That is all. Even media should not be asking too much. Let the game remain a game. There are bound to be bad and good day for a team. We, as spectators in India are also to be blamed at times. We go hyper if our team wins or loses. Too much analysis starts. We should not bother too much.

that is what dhoni is always about and he backs his team quite well and always blames on the ground and curator.well it can be seen as a good move for dhoni fans, but as a cricketing fan ,if you check they never played well yesterday.so one must accept failures.dhoni has to learn from his mistakes

Whatever may be the reason they know their mistake and because of a victory they are trying to hide behind the ground. So blamed the pitch.

I think now a days Dhoni is making of lots of blames on pitches and I wonder how he can make such excuse on the pitches.

It may be a bit harsh on Dhoni, but now he must accept his mistakes. He is getting lenient on fields and yes at times over confident too. He is getting bad with his bowling and fielding decisions. But then I still feel we should give him a bit time, he is a smart captain and he has proved this fact quite a few times. So may be things are not going his way at present. Lets see when he gets out of this bad patch.

He is a good ODI player . But sometimes we really feel that there is no one like Rahul Dravid in our team now. If he was there in our team yesterday, the result could have been different. We really miss a player like that .

I will not support that fact, you should not blame dhoni that very much. He has won us a lot more games than he probably had us to lose. Dravid was a great player, a mentor, but as far as captaincy is concerned Dhoni has been and is a right choice. No one will be correct everytime. He has been successful with two cups under his belt. Give him some time I am sure he will be back with a bang.

Rahul Dravid could not make such difference altoghether, even sachin could not afford to break through the pitch wall. It all depends on how the team performs. And so Dhoni did not performed.

I think most probably players who do not perform should be benched and players who does better should be picked to play in the matches. I think there is no excuses for performance. I think Manoj Tiwary should be given chance instead of Rohit Sharma because Rohit Sharma is not in good form. I hope team India do better in the future.

yesterday lose was a team lose.. no one except 1-2 player hav performed.. obviously a team can't win with 1-2 players performing against sri lanka which is also a good side to play with.. so the blame goes to full team..

Every game lost is a team lose and every game won is because of captain. Why such difference. Why a player is not credited when is has done well in the match and who does not take all credits. Its all that now when the blame is not going on for other players he blamed the pitch.
