considered acceptable

There is nothing like a newborn to affirm life, inspire hope, bring gentleness to the surface of a gruff and grumpy old man, tears to they eyes of a old woman. I have never met a person whose heart was not in some way touched by a new born baby. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/ethicists-argue-in-favor-of-after-birth-abortions-as-newborns-are-not-persons/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Two ethicists working with Australian universities argue in the latest online edition of the Journal of Medical Ethics that if abortion of a fetus is allowable, so to should be the termination of a newborn. If we are NOT in the end times, we ought to be.

I can only hope they are doing this only to illustrate the implications of the act of abortion. I know I could never choose abortion for myself but would never dictate or advise another one way or another.

It really IS OK to say it is WRONG. For why is it you would not choose it for yourself? It's kinda like saying oh, I would not choose to shoot 60 people in a crowded theater, but if someone else chooses that I won't tell them it is wrong.

Here's what I meant, you said I could never choose abortion for myself but would never dictate or advise another one way or another. Now, replace abortion with 'shoot sixty people in a theater'.

Because right now it is a personal choice. However telling someone they shouldn't shoot 60 people is asking to get shot myself.

Why on earth do they have to put a photo of a person with kangaroos in the article when talking about Australians? I find that type of stereotyping really annoying. You would never see in an Australian news agency putting pictures of deer in an article about Americans! It makes no sense! Anyway, got a little sidetracked there. I see no difference in aborting a child once it is born from when it is developed in the womb. Obviously taking the life of a newborn is really, really wrong, but so is taking the life of a developed foetus. Abortion is still taking the life of an innocent living creature, no matter whether it is born or unborn. I also see it as being no different to killing animals just for the sake of it. But that is another discussion entirely.

It makes me shudder to think there are "humans" that think that way. I think they're subhuman, to be honest, and should not be eligible for positions that allow them to speak up on things they don't understand. Okay... the fact is that infanticide has always been a part of the human experience. Undeveloped cultures still practice it. The difference is that these are supposed to be "civilized" people. Worse, they seem to have a feeling that they're superior to the average person, which shows how immature they are. Abortion is murder, but you would think that a live infant would draw some kind of human response from these "people." It doesn't. I rest my case.

And we have a government that says that if we hold that view, that abortion is murder, we are a terrorist. The world has gone insane. I stumbled upon this article. I knew it was bad, but to see the picture of the man who wrote this opinion, he's young, smiling, good looking. He doesn't LOOK LIKE A MONSTER. But he is.

i heard my brother talking about this. i didn't think what he was saying was true, but now i hear it from you, it must be. i am pro choice, but only when it is just a fetus. when it is already born?!??! that's crazy. there are too many people that are willing to take care of babies that people don't want.

When you give people the power to take life they will.

I would suggest that that smiling handsome young man be the person to have to kill those newborns with his own hands. And lets see how he feels afterwards. It's so easy to say....

Wow, I honestly think that I might have heard everything now. I would think that even those people that argue that an unborn baby is not a living being would be upset by the fact that they are now considering for it to be legal to take the life of a person whose life had just begun. If this becomes allowable (which I don't think is morally acceptable) then I would hope that they would make it allowable for a terminally ill person to elect to end their life.

I've worked in nursing homes, if you had to see first hand what actually goes on when a person 'chooses' to end their life, you may change your mind. But that aside, these ethnisists are suggesting it should be ok. Those who make the laws have not yet considered it, as far as I know. But when the 'intellectuals' of society suggest things, laws are probably not far behind.

Hi friend, i never support abortion and it is a great sin. No one have the rights to kill other life, abortion is also a kind of killing and it kills the unborn baby which is a great crime.

with all due respect, i don't agree with the idea of abortion or terminating a new born. I don't mean that i hate them that committed abortion or anything. They have reasons, and i respect that. But i believe, every child is a precious gift in the eyes of its creator, God himself and to it's parents. I love kids! :)I love every child that's born. :)
