Healthy meals

Hey there everyone. So I just had a torture today! It's not true if I say I don't like vegetables because I like many kinds of vegetables. But the meal that I just ate was all the ones that I didn't like. :( So my meal was meat, liver (i don't like liver) and many assorted vegetables including carrots, squash (I'm not really sure if it was squash because it was hard), Batong (a bad tasting green bean vegetable), cabbage and some really slimy vegetable that tastes really really bad. Me and my siblings divided the meal equally so no one will get all the meats and the others will just have vegetables and liver. It was one of the worst tasting meals I have ever had. During the meal my sister who also was suffering pointed out that at least it was healthy what we were eating. And then I immediately felt better. I don't know why the healthy foods have to be the ones that taste bad for me. :( I wish vegetables tasted like meat or chocolate or any other delicious thing.

I am having the same problem sometimes. We are used to eat pizza, spaghetti, things which are very popular, fast food, I myself love the sandwiches in Subway, I also love hod dogs. All the fats are in these foods and we still love and prepare them even if we are able do it at home. I also love vegetables, but not all of them I like prepared in a healthy way. As example I truly love stew of potatoes and green beans, but I don't like eggplants boiled or made in a soup. Also I don't like at all yellow squash prepared in a different way than just fried. It is not because of us, believe me. It's not like healthy foods are not tasty for us. Just the habits we have for eating nearly prepared food, is all around us.

Haha. I know some healthy foods that I like the taste of. But the vegetables are the ones that I don't like. Maybe if I was born and raised eating vegetables I would love vegetables so much and become a vegetarian and hate meat. Haha. I don't really understand vegetarians. Are they sure they don't like meat? It's so much better than vegetables! Haha.

Haha! I will never become a vegetarian ever!!!! Weird, you didn't like meat? Why not? What did it taste and look like for you before? haha. It's a good thing you like meat now. Good thing your making meat. It's good to always have meat because it tastes good. Haha. Are you adding cabbage to make it healthier?

Who knows, probably they feel good that way and it is connected with their way of thinking, not only what they choose to eat or to not eat. I didn't like meat that much time ago. But started to like it, while my boyfriend is making little sad face when I don't cook meat. Right now I am making cabbage with pork. We haven't ate meat since a week or so. It's a small reward for him for surviving without eating meat

isn't it always that the healthy food tastes the worse.

I know right! I wish it were the other way around. Being healthy while eating delicious foods instead of being healthy and suffering. Haha! but anyway there are a few vegetables that taste good. Examples of those for me are lettuce, potato and tomato. Do you hate all vegetables or do you like some?

I started liking steamed broccoli just recently when my brother had to eat because of something, i forgot why. But I don't think corn is a vegetable. Isn't it part of the group with rice, grains, wheat, barley, rye and wheat? I'm not sure but I don't think corn is a vegetable.

Fresh vegetables are delicious if properly prepared. It may be that the person doing the cooking is not using fresh veggies, using too few or too many seasonings, and/or overcooking them. I build most of my meals around fresh vegetables, and what I prepare is beautiful, delicious and healthy. My boyfriend agrees. If you don't like the food that is being prepared, you could always volunteer to take over the cooking.

Haha. I think i just really don't like the taste of the vegetables. I don't know how to cook so maybe if I take over the cooking than it will become even worse! Haha. Maybe I will try to cook someday. Do you think I should?

Because it's already past dinner here. And also I don't want to ruin my family's meals. Here in my house mom or my sisters cooks the meal for the whole family. So if I'm the one that cooks it and it's bad than that's bad for me. Nobody will eat and we will die. Joke. hahaha

The problem with a lot of people is the texture of the vegetables. It is usually easier to eat them if they are mixed in with meats and noodles. Stir frying is a good way to get them down if they are really something you can't eat. Just dice them up and saute them in a pan and then add soy sauce and diced meat and rice or noodles. It blends all the flavors and textures and makes it easy to handle.

Oh. I'll ask mom to try doing that. Haha. Thanks for saying. Do you love vegetables? Do you eat meat or are you vegetarian?
