Hi fellow mylotters, I am living in a tropical country and there are only two seasons in our country, namely the wet and the dry season. We do not have four season like other countries. This simply means that we do not experience winter. I really want for it to snow in my country. I want to get to wear all of those fur coats and gloves. How about you? Does it snow in your country? If no, do you want for it to snow there too? happy mylotting.

Well, I do live in such a country - Bulgaria. We have all the four seasons here. But I wish I lived in a tropical country like you. Having winter has its negative and positive sides ,but in my opinion the disadvantages are more than the advantages. The good thing of the snow is that it hepls growing wheat and other cultures - the snow warms the seeds during the winter and people harvest it during the summer. The bad sides , on the other hand , are many.Like somebody before me said , it seems cool in the movies, but actually it's not. It is too cold - we have to dress very warm, layered clothing is something necessary. The snow becomes slush, it is hard to walk on it, it makes the roads slippery and dangerous , it is hard to clean . I think everybody wants the thing he or she doesn't have .So , since we could not change our country so easily , we should learn how to like it the way it is.

You are right, there is a big difference between packing for summer trip and packing for winter trip .When the whole family travels for somewhere, there hardly could be found even a small free space in the car.Our suitcases take up a lot of space .

I am also from a tropical country and have never experienced winter. I always wished to go to a place where it snowed. Since I am in India at the moment, north India has places where is snows but I am in the south. I will soon visit north India to get this experience.

That is very nice :) I have seen snow before. It looks like shaved ice. But still, it is different when it snows in your hometown.

I am also living in a tropical country and even though I love it , I wish I was living more like in the US , that way I can enjoy the snow and go to Miami to enjoy the sunny beaches whenever I like . I have not experience the snow , it look so beautiful when watching the Christmas movies and seeing the snow on the tree. I would love for it to snow in my country .

I would not wish for snow. Right now, when the weather is going crazy, it just may not be a good idea to wish for snow. People who are in the winter countries, are even complaining about it and they get hurt or worse, die. How much more if we suddenly have snow, and we're not used to that climate.

Hi, In our country hilly areas are snowy areas. But our area is not snowy at winter. we are staying in coastal area. So I am also willing to go to snowy area. I only watched them in movies. People enjoying playing with snow. Throwing snow on each other, skiing, skating etc.

I see that we are both from the same country. Well, I like to see snow but I do not want to include "winter" in our season because just like these past few days the weather is cold due to the typhoon and I cannot imagine how cold it is if it would be snowing in here. Stay healthy

Well I guess that is what a tropical country would always want for her place. Those that are not existing. But I guess you have to know the consequences of having winter in our place. You need to have to remodel your house since I think in the US it is a requirement that you have your house insulated properly and failure to have that would mean you could die during winters. Do not forget about the power failures that happens during snowstorms when they froze power lines and everything accompanied with it. I think life would become more harder having those additional 4 seasons.

As Daughtry's song goes "Be careful what you wish for 'cause you just might get it all...". If it were to snow here or have winter like other countries, it will definitely wipe out a huge number of the population. The first to die would be people living in shanties and mostly those in the slum areas, followed by the animals and the plants and then hunger follows.

umh..then you can travel to another country in winter time. in here we have 4 seasons but i don't like winter in here because the humid is too high then it is not comfortable in winter at all. I like winter in Korea...even though it is colder but the humid is not high then it is pretty.

We don't have that kind of season: winter. But I experienced this when I went to China, particularly in the Great Wall of China. It was an unforgettable experience to see the snow falling from the sky.

It does snow in my country(U.S.A), but not very much in my state. I have live in the midwest where the weather seems to go to extremes. While living in the midwest, I have experienced a white Christmas and extreme heat. I can appreciate snow. It can very beautiful, but it can be a pain to drive in. If you want to experience snow, you may want to consider a vacation in a nearby country that has snow during its Winter season. I do not need snow to come down to be happy, but it can be a welcome surprise if I have not seen it in many years.

I have not experienced snow ever since, I would be in big trouble if that happens because I can really stand so much cold. But if it would be just a day and in a specific place where I would just go there if I feel like playing in the snow, I think I would really love it. I would probably take a lot of photos. I have also thought about it many times but thinking about those so many street children wandering, I am having doubts of wishing for it.

I lived in countries in which it snowed. Sure, the snow was fun, but first, you had to endure about two or three months of freezing weather to experience snow. I remember being in the snow, feet freezing and face almost numb, rolling a snowball down a hill to see it collect more snow and grow bigger. I feel pity for you, because you weren't able to see snow for at least once in your life. Why don't you take a small vacation from the Southern Hemisphere during the winter and come up to the North?

Oh I so want to experience the feel of snowflakes swirling around me too! It would be fun to play dress up on warm coats and all. But of course there are also inconveniences brought by snow. But nevertheless, I'm sure it will still be fun!

I am from a tropical country too! Since I was a kid I really dreamed that it will snow in here. I am imagining myself dancing in the snow and play with snowballs during Christmas. I envy those kids that I watched i the television who were having fun playing around the Christmas tree while it's snowing. As i grow older I realized that it's not that easy to be in a country with snow, sometimes there are snow storms and sometimes its get even colder which we can't tolerate. I have learned that from my friends who went abroad . At this age, I still want to experience walking on snows but I think I could not leave with it forever. :)
