Recently my husband is getting interested in becoming in being an agent of a real estate. Here in the Philippines, you have to pass an exam for this to become a real estate agent. Our Saturday and Sundays are free, so we think that for us to earn extra money, we can sell real estate to our friends and relatives. I know that the commission for this is good and can help in our everyday expenses. Does anybody here engaged in the selling of real estate? If yes I hope you can share your success stories and inspire us.

I am currently unemployed, but have been considering a career in real estate for a number of years. Here in the United States, we also need to have a license, it just varies from state to state. My concern involves paying for marketing materials, the expense of driving around to different homes, and things like that. I'd consider doing it on a part time basis to start (and to keep me free for job searching). The commission is good, but you can only earn commissions when you either list a home or sell a home. Because I moved here only 18 months ago, I'm not sure how I'd do, but where I used to live, I know I'd do well because I know the area well; here, I still get lost! I'm sure that your husband will do well-good luck!

I saw a program on the lifestyle channel, its about million dollar listing. Yes I saw that brokers really had to list properties in order for it to be sold. And they make handsome commission huh.

We have a family friend who's a real estate broker. She's been in that business for a decade now. I think the commission that she gets were usually 10-20% (not that 10% sure though) she's also telling me to be a real estate broker even just for a part-time job but i'm not good in those kind of things :(
