Develop allergy to pot

Has anyone ever heard of developing an allergy to smoking marijuana over time? My boyfriend used to smoke pot and went a while without smoking. Now, every time he does, he slowly develops chest issues. He has a harder time breathing for the next few days. I don't need judgements or critism of smoking pot, thats not what this discussion is about. It's to find out if developing an allergy to pot is possible. Any ideas?

Well, hmm. Does he have any other bad habits, like smoking Tar ciggareetes? What about wheat,,,are there any fields being burned near there? I know that you lungs can get weakr over time. I think, he probably lost that good old chest crust and now when he smokes it tightens his lungs up. Could be he does not smoke enough to go without noticing the chest pains. I bet though you can become allergic.

That's another factor, age and other health issues. Some peoples bodies get to weak to take in any thing. People can develop allergies with age, but this one I have never heard of.
