India won the third ODI with 5 wickets and 2 balls to spare. The backbone of Indian innings was the Gautam gambhir's 102 from 101 balls. Gautam scored a much needed century at the right time. Even though Gauti made the ton, the target was still big when Gauti got out on 39th over, but Raina took the responsibility and won the match with 2 ball to spare. Raina(65) and Irfan Pathan(34) played a much needed partnership of 92 to seal the victory. Virat and Dhoni contributed with 30+ knock.Altogether it was good chase by the Indian team. the disappointing performance was from Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma is not at all in form, he is not been able to make a good knock for long days. I think Dhoni should show the courage to drop him and pick another one. Why dhoni is wasting time on rohit sharma when many others are waiting for a chance.. Now with the lead in the series and the confidence of chasing down in pressure, India can move forward with good moral and win the series.

It was a good match with both sides competing hard. The match oscillated back and forth. But I think Raina's innings was the difference. He and Irfan took India home from a dodgy situation. Of course, the ground work was once more laid by Gautam Gambhir with his century. But his run out really meant that the cat was amongst the pigeons. But Raina and Irfan maintained their cool and won the match for India easily enough. Cheers! Ram

the partnership between Raina and Irfan was the key to Indian victory. Surely the match was an interesting one, It oscillated back and forth. But in the end India got a well fought victory.

Yes on a day when Indian contingent gave us handful of disappointing news from Olympics, Indian cricket team displayed immense sporting and fighting spirit and clinch the 3rd match and gave us a much deserving good news for the Indian sporting fans. This was a morale boosting victory and India can now ooze with confidence ahead of this series.

But team india's performance card is like a roller coaster ride.Sometimes they are playing splendid cricket(like 1st and 3rd game of this series),sometimes played garbage cricket.Anyway last win will give them a moral booster for their upcoming matches.Good luck to them.

Dear skjee10. yes you are absolutely right. India's campaign has always been like a roller coaster ride but let's forget that and think about the good things happening with the Indian team. What say?

Hello venkit, yes indeed it was a good chase. In Sri Lankan soil none has chased a target above 250 and won the match. It was a mind blowing performance from both Gautam Gambhir and Suresh Raina. Suresh Raina was awarded the man of match for his unbeaten 65 .

Has anybody noticed the dismissal of Sangakara by Dinda ! Dinda was too tricky with his ball. He made an impression on the batsmen that he would ball a short delivery by moving the final leg fielder to the boundary line and then he bowled a slow well pitched bowl. Sangakara completely misjudged the ball and Kohli cought him .

ya Dinda bowled a tricky delivery to make Sanga out. He used his mind and bowled cleverly. And raina really deserved Man of the match for his match winning performance.

It's good to see India leading the series 2-1 after seeing the poor performance from India in the 2nd match. India could have restricted Sri Lanka below 250, but in 5 overs led Sri Lank to make 286. Now one victory in the next 2 matches could make India win the series, let's see if Indian team can perform well in the next matches ...

Hi Venkit Indian Batsmen done well, except Rohit Sharma. He is failed in this series completely so far. I am agree that now it is time to drop him and give chance to another talented player. I mean we having few other talented players like Rahane and Manoj tiwari on benches. And now its time to give chance to them. How many time they will keep giving chances to Rohit?! Even he gets another chance and make 100, it is really annoying to keep player like him who not makes even 10 runs in 3 or 4 matches and than make runs in one match and survive. About other players they have done well yesterday. Especially Gautam Gambhir, Raina and Pathan. Raina and Pathan do really well in the end and makes run under pressure. Their partnership lead India to win yesterday's match.

ya rohit was a pure waste in this series. Surely now it is the time for the players in bench to give the chance. But all others played well. the partnership between raina and Pathan was needed one and they executed it well under pressure. It is really big victory that India can cheer.
