What would it be?
If you could have ONE wish or prayer granted immediately at the very instant you wish or pray for it, what would you wish or pray for? Would it be something personal or global, or maybe universal? Would anybody actually ask for WORLD PEACE?
I have been thinking a lot about this and I was thinking that maybe I would ask for a huge a mount of cash, but after giving it a long thought, I started doubting that it could actually solve the problem I am in now.I mean it really solve a lot of problems I have but not all of it. I guess we really can't have everything, right? A great wish also came to my mind, it's wishing that everything in my life right now is alright and good, but then would I recognize it? If that wish would be granted, I would probably be a different person and I don't think that will be easy.
Anyway, I don't really know yet what I really want to be granted but I now know why things can't just be the way we want it to be. It really is complicated. I now am really convince why everything is the way it is now. So how about you guys? What would be your personal wish and what would be your universal/global wish? World peace?

Universal happiness.. Sometimes world peace doesn't cut out to be what it's worth. It usually ends up being war all over again. I swear to the unknown beings above.. If this actually happened, I'm pretty sure we'd be in a much better state than what we may be now.

i would wish for the kid sin africa to have clean drinking water,and poor and unfortuneate people have a better life. I wouldnt make alot of selfiish wishes because life is short and i wouldnt want to look back always thinking about whats the next thing. I wouldnt wish for world peace because i know i cant solve anything and that generally people are going to have dissagreements and thats the way of life. I mean if the world didnt have dissagrements it wouldnt be the world we live in today.

You have a very interesting point me123party. The fact that you you would rather use your wish for the unfortunate people and especially kids rather than on something personal with a very agreeable justification makes it apparent to me that you are a very kind person and a smart one as well.

hi choybel its selfish as its for me I would want enough money for me and my son to rent a two bedroom apartment so I would not
need to be here in this retirement center. becoming homeless when he was laid off we had to do what we did and my son worried about my safety and health at 82 had me put here. do not think this is some

Hello Hatley!
I don't really think of it as selfish. I mean we are responsible for ourselves so it's natural to look after ourselves. I also understand how hard it must be for you at your age to be in that situation and the fact that you included your son's well-being in your wish just makes the wish selfless,in my opinion.
It would indeed be wonderful if nations really co-existed as well as most of us do here.

Hi, Hatley, I wish your wish is my command. You remind me of my grandma...Here in the Philippines, it is usually a given that grandparents live with their grown up kids, even if they have their own families. I guess they get much joy from seeing their grandchildren growing up and doting on them in a way they never did for their children (I once read that being a grandparent is your second chance of becoming a parent). I hope you stay cheerful and healthy, ma'am!

The think that I would like to have granted the most at this point in time would be to be assured that my husband would be completely cured from cancer. The reason that this would be my wish is that despite the fact that he is in remission right now, there is still another four and a half years during which there is a pretty good likelihood that he will relapse and that really is one of the biggest fears that I have in my life.

Mine would have to be a camera since I want to open my business to the internet I would like to own a camera since I sell art and would want the costumers to see the products before buying it...so definitely a camera. :)

if I had 1 wish I would wish that all my friends and family would have enough money to live on each month comfortably without worry how this is going to get paid or if we are going to have enough money for food each week. We all need money to survive so that would be my wish.

I think one is good enough, as it would make as think first before actually making the wish but if I could grant wishes, I would probably grant you more than one.
Oh, I really don't know what's happening between you and your hubby, but judging from this response and from previous discussion, things are not going well. I do hope everything will turn out okay for the both of you soon and if I could grant wishes right now, I would grant yours without a doubt.

If I would wish for one thing right now. I wish for everybody to find happiness in their life. I know this is some thing which is very difficult to achieve but possible.
Actually, I really wanted to say that I want to have my own car. For all those times that I have been working, I was not able to save enough money to have one. But if I would wish that everybody would be happy perhaps I could also have my own happiness that is having my own car aside from being with my family.

Harmonious relationships among all creatures - human, animals, plant and the envirinment. Though it's impossible to attain that completely. A perfect world will be in the making. That would be equal treatment for all the different races of people. It only means that there shall be no discrimination in our society. Though that person is black or white, there should be due respect.

if i could have one thing instantly right now, that would be money. practically speaking, that's what we need to survive this complicated world. people work hard because of money, politicians corrupt because of money; money runs everything. i actually have so many plans for myself, for family and for others but i just couldn't do due to financial constraints. i wanna put up a tutorial center, i wanna travel and go to different places,both local and international, i wanna study a different course, i wanna have my own house, blahblahblah..but how could i make them happen if im broke? well, i would just end up frustrated by thinking about those. might as well think about what you've said, things can't just be what and how we want them to be. i just wish things would be as simple as before where we don't have to worry much about what to wear, what to eat,where to live.. sigh*. as for my global wish? yeah, it would be world peace.haha.sounds cliche but that's really what we need.

I can only agree to you on your opinion on money as the most practical need and would make a very good practical wish in today's world. Almost everything now is about money.
World peace does sound cliche, so broad yet so specific.

Hi Cho!
I wish to marry a beautiful girl who owns a big house where we have millions of dollars for our children who is studying in school! Ha ha yet a simple desire and it need more praying too!
But money is not the only factor that we need in our life. I can only be considered as one of the primary factor to drive a sound life. As you said, in today's world world peace is really necessary! Still I don't thing people will ask for world peace thru their prayer as we had only one Mother Teresa!
I pray to god that we need to have some more people like Mother Teresa! So that our world will have much more peace!

If prayers are answered instantly ,I would just wish for the granting of providing happy and comfortable life for my children and wife. It is the welfare of the family which would come to the top. all other things including personal comforts come only second to the happiness of other members in the family.

I think the change should start from ourselves and begin now. So I pray that I stay healthy and be able to do anything useful for others.
I am a volunteer therapist, and I pray for the healing of my patients, and pray that met with more people who suffer from pain, but don't have a cost to the hospital / doctor.

I would like to feel good just for a day or even a few hours.I am in constant pain, can hardly walk and think it would be great just to feel good.While I was feeling great I would mess around with my children, just like I used to before I got unwell.I can only wish this will happen one day.
