My first day using nuvaring

I have been on the depo birth control shot for about two years. I had an appoinment today with the doctor and decided to switch to nuvaring. I am very nervous that I havent put it in right but its hard to push it up in any higher then I already have. I am hoping I do not have many side effects from this birth control method. It doesnt seem to go in very deep so I am thinking during foreplay it may be noticeable for him. It might not be up in far enough because it kind of feels like its pushing on my bladder.
