Do you know why some man beat their wife even they are educated?

I saw programe Crime petrol in Sony channel. MAy be this channel in India only. In this shows lots of real incident are shows in which man murdered his wife after tourchering. Some man beated every day on a small mistake and women bear this. Even women are educated but they dont want to share this event with their family members or friends. Finally they committed suicide or men try to murdered them. Why this type of crime are increasing. Why the spouse not understand the feelings of them.
