Almost half of the Indian population was adversely impacted by massive Power Grid failures on Monday and Tuesday. For a country trying to be among the superpowers in next 15-20 years, this is a big shame. It is time that the government as well as citizens work together building power capacities as well as upgrading power infrastructure. Yet, would vested interests leave behind their petty interests and do something? What do you say?

Hi, You are right. Massive power grid failures on Monday and Tuesday is very shameful for our Indian people. We should do something collectively for saving the electrical sources. At least we should try to make the use of electricity carefully.

And exert pressure on governments- state and centre to lessen transmission losses and build more conventional, and unconventional, as well as renewable energy power plants.

hi, i agree, and above all the concerned people itself dont have proper information regarding the issues, its really shameful, if we continue to be like this no matter in 15-20 but we cant even become a superpower country in 100 years too, you take the incidence of train accident itself, the authorities dont know the cause of the accident till now, what a shame

This is because the higher-ups do not act until they themselves are impacted by something. Common citizens do not count much in their scheme of things. They should realize that a "superpower" is not merely a word. Reaching there requires a lot, lot more.
