How long the authorities would yield to the pressures of star players?

Although Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi are two of the best doubles tennis players in the world as they have won many titles as a double team, yet they could not be paired for the ongoing Olympic Games in London as the selectors at the All India Tennis Association had to yield to the pressure of Mahesh Bhupathi. The result is that both the pairs led by Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi have already been ousted from the race for any medal in the games, thus making not only themselves but also All India Tennis Association a laughing stock to all the countrymen. I think it is high time to make them realize that players whose egos and personal prejudices overwhelm the nation’s interest should not be considered for representing the country in international tournaments.Isn't it?
