When you ask most people this questions they don't even know how to answer it. They think if they say things like a house, or car it makes them sound shallow, so they say things like world peace... LOL Why do we deny ourselves what it is we really want? It's ok to want a home that is paid off. One less thing to have to deal with. It's fine to want to be have a lot of money. This way you know you have all the money you will need to take care of your bills so you can focus on things you want to do. I know for myself being finincially free will make my very happy. I will be able to spend more time with my kids and my husband. I would love to have a home that is paid off so i know when i am no longer here, my kids will alway have a home. Having healthy productive children following their dreams, being in a loving marriage, being able to give back to others... I mean the list goes on and on for me... What would it take for you to just be Happy?

To see all the immediate members of my family very healthy and safe and, feel their love and respect. We experienced great flooding (the first time ever to happen)in the place we live now more than a year ago. I can't get over this "flood phobia" until now hence, a new two story house in a flood free and peaceful community where we could still sleep soundly despite heavy rains would really make me happy.

Well, happiness is a pretty complicated word. Though it seems simple but it is very intricate. For me the definition of happiness is relative to time. As the time moves on the meaning of happiness changes for me. For example when i was a kid all I wanted was a big toy house and spending my entire life inside it with my friends. When I grew up it seems that money is definitely a key to the door named happiness because the it is a fact that world is materialistic, we want comfort and luxury and to but that comfort and luxury, we need money. After some time, when I will have money, then I 'fame' would be the key to happiness for me. And basically there is no end to this list. When I close my eyes, listen to my heart the only thing regarding happiness that hits my mind is that spending my life like a king no matter whatever is the situation, spreading hands of help towards unfortunate people, living each and every moment of life to the fullest because you don't know what life can bring to you the next moment! Live life king sized!

Ok something that many people misinterpret is that "money brings happiness" Like I learned from a wonderful blog post I read once, contrary to popular belief, nobody's wish in life is ever to have money. What we truly want is the things we can get with the money. A good exercise to know what it is that truly makes us happy is simply ask and honestly answer yourself following: Imagine you have an eternal source of money. Visualize it. Your money will never end, well, list down 20 things you would buy with this money. Ok, now if you could only buy 5 things from this list what would it be, ok now pick those 5 objects and choose only one, that thing you truly want in life. Another exercise is for you to find a some papers/notebook or meditate and simply answer for 15 minutes or more: If I had no limits in this life what would I have? What would I achieve? What would my ideal relationship/family/career be. As you get to know your inner self in a dipper level you will be a happier person. To answer your question, sometimes people say stuff like world peace instead of something more personal because they feel undeserving of this goal of them, they may have a lack of understanding towards their goals and inner desires or they feel that this is what society expects of them without much consideration towards themselves, what they want and not what others want. Being yourself is something scary. You have to be open minded to the vulnerability of others rejection and judgment. It's a scary mysterious world few actually enter in but as the saying goes "If we allow fear to take control of us nothing will ever take place." In my case, the only thing that would take for me to be happy is to 1. Live with my girlfriend(Yes I'm a lesbian)-On a deeper lever I mean to have a passionate romantic love with the love of my life, 2. Publish my novels/mangas and develop an audience and fans, 3. Be true to myself and never fear being who I truly am with others. (Kinda like Ellen DegGneres did)

for me even a smile by an unknown person would make me happy.. No bounds at all for my happiness. I just feel happy if i want to be so! if i smile for myself i am happy. If i see someone happy i am happy. I don't know, may be because i don't expect big things to happen. I am content with even little things of life.

a smile is a gift that keeps on giving. I love to smile at a stranger and see it light up their face. expectation is very important. If you dont think you will get what you want, then you won't. Expect the best... big and small and it is already yours

What would really make me happy is good health, being able to live comfortably and above all have a wonderful family of my own. I hope it's not too much to ask?

i think that if that's what makes you happy it's not at all to much to ask for. Being health is where great wealth starts! family is so important and such a blessing. I wish for you... all of your dreams to come true
