After finally getting the big surprise (asking me to marry him) out of my boyfriend he's slowly been leaking more and more info about it. While I was with him after his army graduation I asked him about it as we were falling asleep. He told me that he had thought of doing this since before he even left for basic training and while he was there he thought a lot more about it. He knew he had to save up for it and he told me he decided that he would do it after he went up 2 ranks in the army, which would probably be 9 months or so. Well last night he was texting me and he said he'd have a surprise for me..THE surprise. Of course I was curious so I asked him more and he said that it would happen when he got back. I had no idea what he meant by that so of course I asked what he meant and he told me he meant after he got back from his training, which would be the end of September!! I was so excited because I thought it was going to happen much later than that. Then he called me and told me he had been looking at rings and found a style he liked. He said he wasn't going to tell me about it but he started to anyways and I could hear the guys in his barracks yelling "Dude don't tell her about it!". I guess he talks to all of them about it and I think it's sweet because it's kind of like what girls do. I was just really surprised to find out that he would be doing his big surprise very soon :)

Congratulations, and I wish you both the best of luck in your relationship. I am very happy for you and him, and I am very glad that you two are happy together. Going from dating to engaged and soon married requires a lot of work, so along with the congratulations I just want to leave you with the most important tip that will help you both enter this new level: keep up your communication with each other in any and all aspects. Again, good job, congratulations, and good luck in the near future!

Thank you :) I'm really excited for the next few months. You definitely have a really good tip and I we try as hard as we can to simply talk about things. That's always been a big thing with us and it really does help the relationship. Talking about our days, what we like, what we don't like, and what makes us angry lets both of us know how the other is feeling at all times. Communication really plays a huge role in a relationship and hopefully we can keep it up :)

I don't think we'll get married right away, I think I'd at least want to finish my bachelor's before getting married. But what i would like to do is move with him where he gets stationed. However, it would be smarter to be married and move with him since he'd get paid more and we could have a house from the military while he's in. I just don't want to rush things and I want to enjoy every moment of everything. I'll definitely be posting a lot about the things that happen and when he actually does propose :)

Thank you :) He definitely can't keep things from me. Every time he has a surprise I'm always able to get him to spill and tell me lol. As hard as it is I try to be as strong as I can and I lot of times I get my strength from seeing him be so strong about everything.

Awww that's so sweet! Guys tend to be abit more chatty when they're excited. I remember my husband talking to me about the same thing that by the time he gets here, I already know the details that I began to be disappointed. Given that the element of surprise is out, I don't think it will be that special anymore. But I was wrong, it's different when it actually happened and I'm still surprised. =) Well, good luck and may you have more brighter days ahead!

I think he's really excited, especially if he's been talking about it to a bunch of guys. I'm glad he's told me a little about his surprise. Even though I know a lot, I don't know the exact day he'll do it or how he'll ask, so at least that will be a surprise for me. Either way, I think I'll be really happy when that happens!
