Have you ever had so much to do you didn't know where to begin?

I feel like that right now. I have so much stuff to pack for the move. Big trash day is this coming Tuesday so I have to find everything that I don't want anymore to throw away including any furniture we don't want to take with us. I've been burning both ends of the candle working online so that we can have more money to move. I'm suppose to get records from my employer and my husband's to see if we can get help with the deposit to move. I still don't know for sure if we are moving a half hour away or close to three hours away. And we our going to need to move by the first. I'm glad that I'm writing all of these things down in my planner otherwise I'm sure that I would forget something.

Yes...it's hard. I sometimes feel like requisitioning a tutu at work the way I spin in a circle all the time..LOL. I hope that you got everything moved comfortable and you are now settled in. I hate moving. You never realize how much stuff you have until you have to do it.

Yeah and now that we are in our new place I realize that we need more book shelves, and dressers to store things in. So I'm adding those things to my list of things to buy. Hopefully if I keep searching I will find some for a good deal. I too hate moving. I hope that I do not have to move for a long time

Yeah we finally did get all the money we needed for the move. Now we are just trying to catch up with all of our other expenses. Hopefully things will eventually settle down for us. I've got to work as much as i can only to get our savings up.

Oh, I certainly know this feeling. It seems that the usual 8hours of work isn't enough to finish what I need to do. There are even times when I would just sit there staring at my 'things to do' and I couldn't help but wonder or wish that I had super-human strength! Only to realize after a couple of minutes that I have been wasting time daydreaming! hehehehe.. I guess we could apply the analogy of "how to eat an elephant?" - by eating it piece-by-piece, in this scenario. Perhaps it would be better to look into things in detail rather than the whole picture so that we could keep ourselves from being overwhelmed at the things to be done. Try that once in a while. You'd find yourself refreshed and before you know it, you've finished everything at the nick of time. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

Yeah that would be overwhelming. I will definitely take your advice and take things one step at a time. Making a list of all the things that need to be done helps a lot. So I will continously be doing this. Especially with us moving this upcoming week. I have to make a list and just pace myself with all there is to do. Thanks for your help I appreciate it.

I only have one big task for today, that is fixing a broken gutter on the roof. I had made it fixed two months ago and at first it was working too well. Now its leaking once again and I really don't know what happen. I really don't know where to begin or what to look at right now. Sometimes its not the quantity of task but rather how to do it that makes you wonder where should I begin.

I agree with you. I hope that you have been able to figure out how to fix it.Fixing things is a task. We don't know how to repair things but I'm sure it is work. And like you mentioned you've got to decide what and where something needs to be repaired.

Yeah I agree with you that it's important not to over do it. There are so many things that I have done already. But I will still have to load everything up and unload. So hopefully we will be able to get this all done as soon as possible. I'm ready for things to calm down and to be able to take a break.

YES! I do not really know where I should start right now. I have so many tests and group projects due for the week and I haven't even started yet. But I think I will start with the easy tasks first then do the hard ones last.

Yeah that way you are able to ease into all that you have to get done. Especially when it comes to assignments and test. It is hard to be able to get all done without feeling so stressed. My husband and I are under a lot of stress with all that we need to get done. There is so much that has to be done in such a short period of time. I hope that you are able to get your assignments done like you would like too.

Moving can be stressful. I've never had to make a real big move but I have had to move fast. The next time I move it will be a lot of stuff. I am trying to find containers and go through the stuff now so that I can pack it away so to speak and be able to just haul them out if I ever have to move fast again. Having a plan is great, but it's even better that Big Trash Day happens to fall around a time that you are moving so you aren't hauling as much furniture that you don't really want to keep either. Good Luck with everything.

It is a good idea to sort our things and have them organized ahead of time. I was very happy that we were able to throw away a lot of our furniture that we no longer needed. Especially when we had to move things faster than expected.

Yeah I understand what you mean. I just spent about 40 mins doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen. Chores really can pile up. I have been starting to use the flylady method of keeping up with the house and I look forward to seeing more results.

Oh my gosh! I also don't how to start. With the piles of assignments I gotta do, by just simply looking at them, I feel tired and weary already. I wish I could transform into a super human to finish all those things.

I understand what you mean. We will be moving in less than a week. And whenever I look around the house I see the amount of other stuff we have to get done. It is overwhelming at times.I just keep working at it because I want to be out of this house and into a new place where we will not have to deal with the worse landlord I have ever had. So when I'm working around the house that is what I'm thinking of.

Yeah I understand what you mean. It can be overwhelming. Right now things are still very stressful with all the stuff I have to get done. I'm looking for a full time job and I'm hoping that having a set work schedule will allow me more time to spend with my daughter. As of right now working online is taking up a lot of my time and yet I'm not earning what I need to be.

in fact i always have this situation, and i become worried at that time. so i will calm down and write a schedule. then i know what i should do and i will do them one by one, it is a good way to solve this problem if your schedule is good, you will find you have more free time than before try it! good luck!

A schedule is very helpful. I have a planner. I actually really do love my planner. There is always something I'm writing in there that needs to be done. Right now I'm working on freeing myself up of time working online so that I can spend more time with my daughter. I think getting a job where I only have to work a set schedule and then after that I'm done will allow me that opportunity. As far as things online I have tried almost everything under the sun but yet I'm not making very much and it's taking up a lot of my time and causing a lot of stress.

You have so much going on in there. Try to breathe for a while so you'll think straight. It can help you prioritize things and manage time well. Also, get the help of others. You're not Superman! Good luck and I wish you the best.

Yeah I'm slowly starting to realize that I'm not Superman. We have moved in our new place. We are a few days short of living in our new place for one month. We had to stay with family for a few weeks since things were so crazy and we had to wait for a lot of the paper work to go through. Now we are planning catch with some of our bills at the old house and with our new higher bills we have in the new area. With everything going on I'm hoping to find another job to keep our heads above water. It seems as if it's going to take a year to get things to calm down.

Your move sounds quite hectic. I hope you can figure out a few more of those unknowns soon before you're overwhelmed. I find myself having so much to do and thus not knowing where to start at college quite often. After a long day of classes and looking at the homework assigned to me can be quite stressful. I usually make a plan for how to tackle the homework load, but it usually ends up taking me a while just to do the planning, much less the homework. However, I have learned things about time management in my time at college, as well as other things that will be valuable for me later in life.

I'm glad that you have figured out a good way for you to get things done. Time management is very important especially when you have assignments that have deadlines. I can imagine how much time it would take to get all of the planning and the homework done. Just remember it will all pay off in the end. You will be able to work in a career of your choosing. I too hope that more will be answered concerning our move. My husband will have to talk with the bank about a loan to see if he can buy this business he is interested in. If he can get the business then we will have to move two and half hours away. It all depends on what the bank says.
