Holding payment by putting a higher minimum amount

I saw that I have reached the minimum payout and I am very proud of it, because it will go for tax for membership in one small charity group. I was in hurry to reach it as soon as possible, because I don't know when will be payday.
Last days while I writing one post of Giftsandbags and her motivating call how she has decided to pay her furniture with the money she earned here on Mylot, it was so big push up for me, that now when I reached the minimum I would love to double it.
I can do something like paying the tax for membership for like few months ahead, since the tax is very very small and next months I may hold my payment until I reach a bigger amount, like 50$ minimum or 100$ minimum.
I am having this passion now to challenge myself and do it for future.
I am interested if anyone is holding the payment from Mylot by putting a higher minimum payment. I know if the money enter my account they will go for something else. It will be a big waste if I try to withdraw smaller amount, because of the taxes of Paypal, so I guess I would be teased to use a dollar or two for facebook games.
Actually that is one of the reasons why I decided to send them thru Paypal to this non profit organization, because when they collect more donations it will mean something to them, instead of if I try to withdraw 10$.
Now I am getting back to the question if anyone tried to hold the payment with setting a higher minimum amount.

I have always gotten paid when I reach the required $10 minimum and it was always going towards my hosting and domain bills, but right now I am having a problem with paypal about my acoount so I have decided to wait it out and see if the neccessary precursion would be to get another account and this has prompted me to increasing my payment minimum here on mylot to $100 because I want it to go towards my new phone desire for the month of december which is my birth month.
I want the new tablet or phone as a birthday gift, so am working towards it. I have always wanted to drive myself to the maximum to see how much I could rake in from mylot as my other earning avenues online are right now on hold, things have not been working out as it is supposed to, so I have decided to chase about $250 earning here on mylot to go towards my needs for december and have always tried this earlier but it never worked as I couldn't reserve so much time to post here due to my state of mind, it's quite difficult we all know so my aim is to try make a minimum of 50 post including responses and comments I make daily, for the past 5 days in Augist I haven't achieved 10 posts per day, so that means if I continue like this then I wouldn't achieve what I wanted to. This discussion has given me time to restructure my approach and focus more, also dedicated more time to mylot.

You could also do better than average and also leave income here to a higher threshold, mylot is a pretty damn good job in also helping us accumulate earnings and keeping them till when you feel you need them but that needs you to trust that mylot will still continue to exist and give you more opportunity to earn more, with these you could set that higher withdrawal threshold towards saving for whatever you need, it is doable and you will just have to learn not to think of earnings and continue to work hard in posting and commenting here on Mylot.

I had problems with Paypal long ago, so I am having little doubts on saving money in my account there. I really would like the put the money made here on something useful, but the minimum limit would not allow me such things, because it wouldn't be enough for anything I need.
I am glad that I read all inspiring posts about it.
I wish you to achieve this result you want to have at the end, earlier than December.

Hi Suggar, I have minimum $10 for payout here. I like it that way because I always want to play it safe. I know mylot is legit because I have already been paid before but I just can't shrug off the feeling that I have no control over to what can happen online. I mean it is not impossible for mylot to suddenly shut down or experience technical problems or whatnot. I am just being 100% realistic here.
$10 is enough for me, this amount I can risk. There is no difference anyway, I mean, it is not like a bank where my money grows interest so I say $10 is enough. Easy goal and risk free

You are probably right. I want to increase the amount of my payout, because I feel if I have lower amount in my account I would be more willing to spend it, as example in Facebook for some game or something like that. If it's bigger and can pay at least one of my bills it will mean something more to me.
I have had 3 payments from Mylot til now, having in mind that I was not here for the last one year or so. I feel like nothing bad can happen if the amount stays in my account here. The one bad which may happen is I to feel tired or bored here, or to feel like I have something better to do and just leave Mylot again as it happened to me one year ago. I had at that time 3$ in my account, but wasn't coming online, so I lost the money. Before I quit last time I had bad depression, so I didn't felt like writing.

Yeah, depression can really ruin everything. Motivation, drive, interest and all! 
I hope you feel better now and that you will not go through depression again. I've been depressed as well so I know what if feels to be in that black hole, feeling hopeless..
Facebook games are really tempting. The amount they ask seems to be so little that we feel it will not make a dent in our paypal savings. But accumulate everything, they are really a bad chunk! That tetris game made me buy so many things! Haha!
Don't get me wrong, I have faith in mylot, that is the reason I allow myself to put so much time in here (aside from the fact that I really enjoy it) but I am just one cautious girl

Hi friend, good to hear about your idea, there is nothing wrong in holding our payments. But mylot can ban our account at any time due to some violations, some times we may do some violations without our knowledge, if we did this kind of violations and hold our payment, we will lose every thing. I am not interested in holding my money in mylot, because i lost two of my previous accounts and this is my third account. Be careful, we don't have the ability to do anything if our account set to be inactive here and we lose every thing

Well, you must be careful. Until now I have never had such problem with the Mylot. Important is we do learn something on every step we make.
I have had one or two, or more, don't know right now, but I had some discussions deleted in the past. It was like that because I didn't pay attention to the rules of use for Mylot, my english was not good enough and I had to use dictionary to read them and check the meaning of every second or third use.
But I think that if you only try to think little bit more about discussions which other members post, you will also learn something. We receive emails if we participated in discussions which was deleted after some time. It is a good lesson for what is good and what is bad here. What is considered as violation and what is not.

Hmmm, you just gave me an idea, Suggar. To be honest, we are doing okay money-wise, but truth be told, we could all use the extra money. Now I have also reached my minimum payout for mylot, and I was actually debating with myself on whether to buy this or that. The things that I would really like to buy costs a lot more, but I am not sure if I am to settle for something that is enough for my paypal funds. Now I know that I can also donate to charity everything that I have worked hard for. I used to donate stuff in a Children's Home in our place and when we moved we also put a big distance from that place so we haven't been there these past few years. I know this isn't much, but I figure that if every month I will donate all my earnings there, I will feel good knowing that I have shared something that I have worked hard for to those who really need it the most. I just hope and pray that I will be able to sustain it. I guess it's all about my will and drive to help that will see me through.

Suggar, I feel you there, though you have made a lot of people see the importance in donation, going out of our way just to help others who really can't help themselves so much but this really was the major point of this discussion, the withholding payment and using it for some most desirable to us is what this is about, so many people never even made mention of this in their comments and responses, but once again this is Mylot whatever point you choose to base your response or discussion on is your choice.

Thank you for sharing with me this experience you have.
Lately our financial situation is not very good one. I would love to be able to donate more, I actually thought I would be able to do that last month, but I couldn't because our own budget was very tight and we needed many things which we couldn't afford at that time.
So first I will be thinking for my plan this month and if I can put away something for charity, that would be a great thing for me. I feel very satisfied when I help with what I can afford.

I do not do that much writing here for it to make a difference. I often do not make the minimum amount each month. But if you were tempted to spend the money already or buy things on Paypal, for instance with me it would be music books, or dvdd, then putting a higher minimum payment would be a good idea.

I would like to be able and have little higher amount because I have made a plan of the bills this month and I wrote every amount in dollar, which is much better than our currency, calculated in dollar it looks that we owe less money I know it's funny
So if I am able to do little more, at least will be able to cover something like our net bill which is not that high or something like that.

This is a good post and show us new members that there is hope , not a lot of people would state this . I am new and I was thinking of keeping my payment here until it reaches a $100 but I decide its best I hold it in my PayPal account since I am in no rush to really used it . I think I would used my money to get some traffic to my blog . I have heard people used money on Facebook but your the first person I know lol. Giving back is always a lovely thing to do . good luck with your decision .

Of course you can hold payments on any threshold amount you like. I think many are doing it simply because they wanted to have a higher cash-out and sometimes doesn't want the money to be withdrawn right away until it reaches the threshold they wanted. For me, at first I set my threshold to the minimum. And after reaching it, i immediately ask for it to be deposited in may paypal account. After confirming that this is a legitimate site, I had change it to a higher threshold hoping that I can reach it by a certain number of days in spending time her in myLot.

Thank you very much for sharing. Inspired of Giftsandbags and also of the experience which one other friend shared, about going to a holiday and using the cash made here in Mylot, I really feel motivated to change into better. I am using only this website to post discussions and reply to others. My english is not very good to complete tasks or write article. But for now I feel it enough.
At least paying one bill even the smaller one with the amount made here in Mylot would be satisfying thing for me.

Its not a problem i have always asked for withdrawal whenever I have reached to $25 and this time I have increased my payout to $50.I know its hard to reach there but it will always be a happy feeling if I get $50 once than to have $10 five times.

Hello Sjvg1976 exactly that's what I am talking about. My boyfriend uses Paypal all the time, so it's not so big problem to send the money in his account and we can collect little higher amount that way, but I would love to be able to reach a higher amount myself and to afford something bigger.
I will do my best when Mylot send us the payment now and I send it for the taxes I have to pay, to increase my minimum payment amount here and do better.
