Immunity to Caffeine

Sometimes, I think I am already immune to coffee's stimulating effects. Half an hour ago, I woke up to prepare my kid siblings' breakfast and packed lunch. Now that I have done that and settled myself in fron of my computer to read emails and check the news, a cup of steming coffee is within my reach. I do not drink decaffeinated coffee, but I have tried it sometime. I admit to sleeping late last night because I still finished some reports and still stubbornly finished a TV program. Usually after the first few sips of coffee, I am already perking up. But now halfway through my first cup, I still feel like crawling back to my bed. I usually limit myself to 1 cup a day, during breakfast. But now, I don't know how many cups should I down to keep my eyes open.

I already had such time in the past, when coffee was not helping me to wake up. It was doing another thing - it was making me feel sleepy right after one cup has finished. There is such possibility to get so used to coffee, that it doesn't effect you well, but that wouldn't happen if you drink one cup in the morning. If you are drinking coffee all the time, it may happen. Probably you have been really tired this morning when you had to wake up and that's why the coffee didn't help.

Yeah, that's what I also suspect. But I don't want to have another cup, I'm tring to keep my daily "one cup only" thing. I know too much coffee can also be bad. Besides, it might not work again lol!

It surely is bad, so don't do it. I was going to continue posting how you must be careful with caffeine, because too much is not healthy at all. It opens a door for extra stress, believe it or not, sometimes it really does. And also it starts playing with the nervous system in a bad way

Oh yeah, definitely! I know I've had too much whenever a small shadow on my window would make me freak out (of course whenever I look out it's just always the leaves of the trees)

I remember drinking coffee at a young age... I never drank coffee to stay awake... I just liked the taste of it... I drink coffee for completely opposite reason than most people... I drink coffee to relax... On days I can't fall asleep, I drink coffee & usually it helps me fall asleep faster... I don't know what it is, most of the times, I drink coffee like water... Come to think of it, I drink coffee more than water or anything else...

Well, it's not that coffee makes me feel drowsy... It just helps me relax better... Unlike some people, coffee doesn't really make me feel anything... I just like the taste of it...

There's a time that I also have the same effect of drinking coffee; it makes me feel drowsy. This was when I was reviewing for the board exams that my sleeping pattern is really busted. But I guess I was too quick to "blame" my coffee for this, for all I know I could just be purely stressed that no amount of coffee in my system can get me up and running.

Coffee seems to be the first thing most person would have every morning. For some, they need it to jump-start their day. But sometimes, when we are stressed-out, we need a not only coffee but other things that would really create a wake-up call. I think your simply stressed-out and needed a break. Even if you already develop a habit of getting-up early and think that you could be well after a days work, you are still prone to stress.

Decaffinated and regular coffee both have caffine. To really get the full effect of it we should drink it plain. Its the additives that cause the negitive side effects. Then we should choose the differnet kinds of coffee that builds up our systems to meet our personal needs

I guess because I am drinking an instant coffee now, I cannot really get the full, unadulterated coffee benefits. And...judging from my typo errors in my post, I am really not being stimulated enough lol!

Congratulations! You're now a caffeine-oholic. LOL. I remembered my dad would always scold me for drinking coffee as if it is my substitute for drinking water. LOL. This time, I tend to drink coffee each and every other meal. It can't be help. It could be an addiction and usually our bodies tend to depend on it, when you're taking it repetitively. Like it is a part of your system already. This acts like supporting your body's needs of getting that boost whether it is early in the morning or late at night. In my end I use caffeine in boosting me throughout the entire day, especially at work and on the field when there's an all-day event. That's one sure fire for me once I take a couple of cups for me. Yes, not just one cup :) Kindly remember that there's nothing wrong in taking a lot of cups as long as you have been eaten a meal before drinking. This may sets your stomach rumbling with too much acids in it. Thanks and enjoy another cup, friend :)

I also drink coffee and I also drink coke cola, as these are the two things that do help me to try to stay awake. I have to take morphine for pain and that can make me really tired, so I drink cooffee to try to pick me up and wake me up, I do not count or worry about how much I drink.

I know I am not immune to it because I really do not drink caffeine that much. If I drink it, I get very hyper. I would say just to slack off a little.
