I'm watching the news to know what happened in some part of the area in my country. Right now my house is still on flood and I can't cook food for us. I have bread and some brownies I baked yesterday. I'm taking my breakfast while I'm I'm hooked on the news when something strange I felt in my tounge. I ate the paper that was stick on the bread and I didn't notice. I'm almost starve to death because I fix some stuff downstairs, I can't imagine I did not notice the paper. Did it happened to you that you swallowed or eat something you did not noticed?

Lyn, pity to hear your home is still on flood. I remembered there is a time where my mother had bought a very delicious cheese cupcakes. While talking and eating that cupcake with my siblings, i didn't realized that i had bite the paper that was stick on the bottom of cupcake. Only when spit out the cake that i had chewed on the basin, then i discovered that i had bitten a little corner of the paper. I really don't know what will happened if i really eaten that piece of paper.

Actually You'll digest it. Like any other high-fiber food, too much can cause diarrhea. And I'm glad you did not.

Yes, it is no harm to ate a little piece of paper. But, it is much better not to eat it, if possible. Now, i am very careful whenever i eat cupcakes.

I think most of us have eaten a little paper in our lives. Especially the ones that stick to cakes. The worst thing you can eat is one half a worm in an apple or swollow a flying insect. A little paper sounds a lot better than an insect.

Yes, it could happen, when you are not concentrating on the food taken. Ridiculous if swallowed. I experienced it, and a little hard to remove paper that has been bitten.

I have some not so good pots to make cakes so I put some paper there and cover it with butter before adding the dough. Several times I have had to take a bit of paper out of my mouth. I also have to be careful with some toothpicks I use when roasting some small bites I want to keep together.

Yeah, much like you what you had experienced! But I was eating siopao back then. I didn't noticed the paper wrap and I am already hungry and needed a bite. So I ended up eating also the wrap! It happens.

I am sorry to hear that the flood is still available in your area. I hope it will be gone soon and all of you stay well. I can imagine that you were really starving at that time so that you would eat the paper accidentally. Don't worry, in fact the paper is eatable and it will not give you any harms. I love China

So far we still have rains but not that bad like the past 5 days. Yhea the paper will not harm me but it is only strange when you felt it in your tongue while chewing it.

It's been awhile, and I don't remember what it was but it seems it was a sweet pastry. I started to munch not seeing any paper, the paper was very very translucent, so much so you could hardly notice it... I bit into it and woops! lol.

I'm certain that I've almost ended up eating paper before. However, I don't remember any specific instance where that happened. Likely, when I microwaved something placed on a paper towel, I almost ingested a piece, since the paper was sticking a tad to the food.

Oh my, flood is really getting worse in your area. I hope it'd stop raining so the water level won't keep on rising and cause more problems in the country. And, yes, I've had my share of those accidental eating of non-edible stuff. I think you know "siopao". That has a thin paper at the bottom part, and I often forget to peel it all off before eating. Good thing, I get to notice the paper on my tongue before I swallow it.

So far the flood is already gone. I love eating siopao and I'm aware now that there is a paper before eating eat because one time I'm also a victim eating the paper.

Yes! This has also happened to me too when I was watching some television. I ate a siopao that still has paper at the bottom part. I did not notice the paper since it was the same color as the siopao. But paper is edible so nothing weird will happen to us. hahaha :) I had a friend who even deliberately ate the paper! LOL. Happy mylotting!

I cannot remember a specific time but I am sure that I have done that as well. I know that I have had candy that has had paper stuck to it and cupcakes as well. Not fun, but it is sure a lot better than eating a bug. I think sometimes I do not trim a vegetable or a fruit well and then I would eat a stem or a peeling.

You said your house is in flood & you are bothered with accidentally eating a paper. That's strange because in a flood situation i would have asked for help or discussed the condition of my house due to flood. This happens to me often like eating a paper or other things without noticing. One day while watching TV my eyes are focused on one of my favorite program, i was eating popcorn. The popcorn are lying on a paper on the table along with colored pencils, sharpener & a white eraser. Since my eyes are on TV i picked up the eraser and ate it. My mind too was not thinking about what i am eating because of the program. When that program ended only after that my senses responded to what i was eating. These types of things happen often with me.

I'm almost done with the flood I need more strength now but to laugh I feel more upset if I will seriously think about it. I'm glad that you did not accidentally eat the pencil it is more worst than the eraser. But we should be very careful next time.

Funny you should mention that. I was eating some cookies I had altered to my own taste that I bought in the store and they were from the freezer. I had to put them in a napkin cause they had chocolate sprinkles on them when I melted some chocolate chips and dipped them into them both yesterday. The sprinkles could fall off so in order for them to not get too messy I used the napkin and didn't know for sure if I had eaten some of it at one point. I hope I didn't eat any paper, at least.

Oh that's so funny, good thing you weren't able to ingest it. My husband almost had the same experience. You see he never had hotdogs here, so one time when we decided to grill some chops, I bought a pack of hotdogs for my kid siblings. So he took charge of grilling. When everything's done and we all sat down for lunch, we noticed that he grilled the hotdogs with the plastic peel on! LOL, he said back home, their hotdogs do not have the plastic peelings, he thinks it's not plastic and it's an edible casing. Well, welcome to the Philippines, my dear husband, despite being here for the nth time already for the past five years!

I have accidentally drank something, thinking it was tea and it was soda, or thinking it was coffee and it was soda and it would nearly choke me because I wasn't expecting that acidy taste. Bust I think I've always taken the paper off. LOL, that is kind of funny. I'm glad you noticed!
