is there any proof of atma or soul that leaves the body after death.

i am hearing right from the childhood that this body is mortal but soul is immortal and rebirth occurs according to our karma,but haven,t got a scientific and authentic answer.

I don't think there will ever be a scientific answer on that subject. I think you have to find something that you can believe and is right for you. I quite like the idea of rebirth based on karma, it'll teach you to be 'nicer' and respect others.
