Hi Daisy: This must be really scary. It has never happened to me. The closest thing was when the elevator was stuck for less than a minute and I feel the panic. I can't imagine ten minutes in an elevator. It must be a really scary situation ALVARO

I've been stuck in an elevator before and it's not fun. I think that I'd be right there with her crying and scared. I think I'd ask for the rest of the day off and take the stairs back down, no matter how many flights that is. Being stuck in an elevator is very scary for me as well.

I was an aide at a school for a special ed student with physical disabilities. The power went out in the building and we were stuck in the elevator. Luckily the teacher knew we were stuck in the elevator and someone was there talking to us for the 15 minutes or so that we were stuck.

In my life one day I was returned from my computer centre at 10 'o' clock. one man in cycle touched me. I was so scared and run away and reach one home near. The man ran away. That day I scared too much. If I thought that now also very scarrying. But that day I escaped by gods grace. It is my very scarred experience in my life time.

Hi Daisy, It is definitely no fun getting stuck in an elevator. Your colleague is fortunate that it happened in the day time. It would have been terrible for her if this occurred at night when she is leaving for home. She may be all alone in the dark and no response or help.

I fully understand how your co-worker feel. I was locked in the comfort room thrice. That was really horrible. The first one was inside our office comfort room designed for disabled person. That day I had to finish some paperwork and before going home I had to pee and decided to use that separate comfort room. But to my disappointment, I can't open the door when I was already going out. I was knocking on the door inside and I felt terribly scared because I believe that everyone has already left our office and no one would hear my voice. After minutes of shouting and knocking, finally, one of the security guards heard me. The second one was inside a public comfort in a gas station. Well, that is one I really had mixed emotions since I really do not know how to open the lock. It took me sometime before I was able to open it. The third one was when I went to my husband office when he was asked to render over time. It was already past midnight so I waited for him. I asked the guard if I can use the comfort room. He told me to use the comfort room inside the employees locker room. I left my bag in there and proceeded to the locker room. But to my disbelief, when I was going out the door knob was broken and isn't working. Since I was inside a locker room, I don't know if the guard would hear me. I don't even have my cellphone with me that time which could be a big help if I was able to bring my bag. I was only found out to be in there when my husband looked for me and that makes me stuck inside that CR for more than an hour. After that incident, I am always hesitant of using comfort rooms with doorknob. I usually avoid drinking water when I am outside so I don't have to use them. It is really creepy when you are alone inside and no one seems to hear you.

I am not really claustrophobic, but I sure don't wanna be stuck in an elevator. Especially if I am just alone. So far, the scariest thing that ever happened to me was when me and some friends went mountain climbing. It was already night and we are pushing hard to be able to set camp by midnight. Suddenly, we heard something moving in the bushes that seems to follow us. We never decided to investigate it, we just keep on walking until we reach the campsite.

I have been stuck in an elevator three times while we were staying at the Fitzgerald's in Reno, Nevada. We'd only be stuck a few minutes and then the elevator would start going again. We stayed three nights there and it became a joke because we just never knew when we'd be stuck in the elevator again. Another scarey incident that I will always remember is that drive over to Reno when we hit that mountain top the snow was in blizzard conditions and you couldn't see what was in front of you. I was driving real slow and it was at night and scarey because I had three people in the car with me. We stopped at a rest stop and stayed until it was light and ventured out again. This was in April when it was time to take the studs off the tires and we didn't have any chains or anything.

My worst experience was not in getting to work, but on immediately getting to work and trying to print a document for a meeting in 15 minutes. This is the one time that everyone else in the building also wanted to print something out. My report was just coming off the printer as the meeting finished.

That does sound scary i have also been stuck in a lift and it is horrible. One of the scariest moments in my life was once when i was followed home by three youths who shouted at me and attacked me to steal my mobile phone. They didnt steal it but i was so scared because on of them had a saw in their home it was horrible as i didnt know what would happen.
