I hope your brother makes it back home unharmed. I do not support the war... never have, even from day one. I DO support the troops. I respect, honor, and apprciate anyone who has volunteered to come to the aid of my country. When a person enlists, he or she has volunteered to risk his (or her) life for me, you, our country (and our country's interests). I understand that and I a impressed at that person's dedication. However, that person also has the right to expect that the government will not casually or reclessly risk those lives. They have the right to expect our government's RESPONSIBLE use of the military. This war is not what many thought they were signing up for.

I don't support the war in Iraq. If the people of Iraq would rather be under a cruel ruler that treats them like they are dirt, then let them be under that ruler. but i do support the US troops completely. They are brave & every american should be proud of the troops no matter what they think of the war!

Ego has little to do with the war in Iraq. The ONLY possible ego building factor would be that George Bush Jr. wants to accomplish what he sees as a failed mission of George Bush Sr. (When in fact, that mission, to force Iraq out of Kewait, was very successful). THIS war is about oil. Period. And people are unfortunately dying because of it.

Yep. You are right. U.S. has a track record of doing that sort of thing. Did it with Fidel Castro (of Cuba) also, for instance. I love my country and my form of government.... but I sometimes hate what our country's leaders do. (I'm U.S.)

I do not support any war and especially this one. I have always felt this was a personal war between Saddam and the Bushes. The son had to rectify what was done to his father by Saddam Hussein. Hussein had threatened their personal lives and this is there way of taking care of the threats. I hate all war.

elixir, when you say "they" did it for "their" ego I hope you don't mean the citizens of the U.S. I hope your realize the majority of people here in the U.S. are opposed to the war in Iraq. "THEY" (meaning President George W. Bush, et al) did not go into Iraq for their ego. They did it for oil. Period. If it were their egos "they" were interested in "they" would have gone after the person responsible for flying airplanes into the Twin Towers on 09/11/2001 in New York City. "THEY" just found a way to temporarily convince some of the U.S. citizens to support their every move because of those citizens determination to never let an attack like that happen again. Most of us realize the only way to perminently stop terrorism is to remove the REASON to be terrorized. I see you are from India. I like your people. :-)

I am not all bothered of what happened in Iraq right now. Call me a very rude person or whatever. I have worried a lot before but me worrying won't change anything. So I just stopped bothering about anything. I have other things to worry about.
