Do you think life is fair?

There are intelligent people and unintelligent people. Pretty and handsome people and fair people. Rich people and poor people. Fortunate people and less-fortunate people. There are troubled people and untroubled people. And a lot, lot more. Is life fair? Why do you think so?

I agree with Murkie, life is what you make it, good or bad or indifferent. We all have choices in life sometimes we make the wrong choice, sometimes the right ones. I don't really think it's a question of fair or unfair, I think it's a matter of what we do with what we were given.

Yes, I got your point but sometimes we can't avoid comparing ourselves to others. Some people are already blessed with richness and some are so poor. However if we'll do our best to change our life status then there's a tendency that we'll become successful and rich too. It's our choice to have a better life. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

God made all people equal intellectually, yet lots of people do not have the great skill to profit what he wanted in life.Less people have these skills to improve their living conditions in astronomical degrees, that is why there are rich and poor people.

Yes we were born equally the same in intellect but I guess with the status of our families I guess we are not the same. You're right. We'll just need to use our intelligence to become successful and profitable in life. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting. Sorry for the late reply.

I do not believe in the status or background of one's family.I just believe in the persons abilities to uplift his living condition because he was humble, yet has so much talents that he surpasses the expectations of his being loaded with so much talents.

If a person has a lot of talents or abilities, then he or she is lucky. He or she will have the possibility to become successful in the future. Nowadays, education is not the only tool to become successful, skills and experiences have vital roles, too. Thanks for the comment. Sorry for my late reply.

thinking of what you have mentioned, life is not fair. what makes it more unfair is that in many cases, we are whar we are for no reason. but meanwhile life is fair in how people feel about it. people in different social classes lead different lives but they all have their own joy and sorrow. we can not say a millionaire must be happier than a tramp. a piece of bread can bring about joy to a tramp the same way a villa to a millionarie.

Yes, you're right. Rich people may have their own joys and sorrows but they are still far from the poor ones. Life is fair if we are satisfied with what we have. Thanks a lot for posting and happy mylotting.

If you put it that way, life does seem to be unfair. People will often wonder why they're born one way and not another, why they're born to these parents and not another. When people have this type of questions, it's an indication that they're not satisfied with what they've been allotted in life and it's very natural for people to feel this way. Because without having this kind of feeling, people won't progress and will be stuck in the same place forever.

Lucky are those who already have everything but they seem not satisfied yet. They still want more and that make them greedy and fail. Some people though know what they could only have and they are happy with what they have. Life is unfair but it's up to us if we want to change our present lives or if we'll strive more to make them better. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting. Happy New Year!

i say, life is how you make of it. it is fair in such a way that what you sow is what you reap. you can't say how fair it is if you compare different standards.
