My diabetes is very out of control, now our way of measuring is different from the USA. Here in Canada, my blood sugar levels are supposed to be under 7 which is normal, mine is 11.5.
The nurse is having trouble getting it under control. I am on pretty strong meds already. I can't take the daily monitoring, with my arthritis I just can't do it right. I don't have enough strength in my hand to work the pen.
If it continues over time I will have kidney damage and heart damage and eventually die from diabetes.
The X-ray came back on my back. Not kidney troubles but osteoarthritis, which means that the cartilage in my lumbar 12 (spinal chord) is very thin, that is what causes the pain because bone is scratching on bone with no cushioned protection.
There is no cure. It is the arthritis of old age and will only get worse. If I cannot walk anymore they will do surgery to place a pin or whatever they do to ease the pain and help me walk.
The pain medication they gave me hasn't kicked it yet, and the nurse said she wants to wait a bit longer before deciding to increase the strength.
One good thing, there is no blood in my stools.
Right now the thing that bothers me the most is the heat, please pray that this hot and humid summer is over. It makes me very sick.
