Obon Yasumi!

In Japan, there is this holiday they call obon yasumi. Yasumi means break. Obon is like all souls day, and all saints day. So I have 5 days to relax and enjoy life. I am really excited to spend my days just doing nothing but chilling out. Well, anyway, we are planning to watch one of the biggest fireworks display here in Hiroshima. Many people will be there so it will be really tough getting a good spot, and getting home. I will be posting about it this Sunday I think and I will have some photos attached. I hope everyone is getting some rest this weekend! Because I surely will!

I am soo glad I am in myLot and learning about other people's culture too. Your post is very educational. Taking a break for five days seems heaven! It's a good way to relax and just catch back with life. I hope you have fun!

Yeah. 5 day-break is heaven. And I am starting it right now. Hahaha. Well, I hope you would share your country's culture and traditions, etc. Have a great weekend, too!

I recognized the word "Yasumi" - from when I took Japanese in high school! (Konnichiwa!). Right now for me it is "natsu yasumi". He he! In the U.S. we do not have a similar day (Soul's Day?) but maybe it could be the equivalent of Memorial day or Labor Day? Have a good break, though!!!
