hi fellow mylotters! Classes will resume tomorrow and I think our school works will be more complicated due to almost a week suspension of classes in few universities.I'm also worried because our professor may give us lot of requirements and homework to supersede those time wasted. Do you think this will be effective to a student? and Why do you think it would be effective? We have all different opinions and I want to hear it! :) I don't know If I can create more discussion this week. Thank you! Happy Mylotting! (sorry for my english!) :)

Don't worry about not being able to create more discussions during this weekdays. I'm done being a student but I still would want to go back. I have two degrees already and I'm still not happy about that. Been through a lot of pressure when i was in college. But I was able to balance everything though and survived UP. I guess it's all about how you manage your time when you are under pressure and given a lot of school work.

I think you don't have a choice, the school nor the teacher doesn't have a choice either, unless it would be okay for you if you extend a few more months of the same year level, right? I don't think anyone wished that the situation would happen. That's why it's called a "calamity". Anyhow, do your best and for sure the teachers would understand if there would be some sacrifices or struggles. Good luck! Have a great Mylot experience ahead!

Hi RSantos, i think you don't have to worry too much. School life is like that, there are always ups and downs. I am sure there will be lots of homework and assignments since i ever been through it before. Time in university is precious, so try your best to fully occupied it for the benefit of your future. Take your time to respond and create discussion in here.

For sure every student will be loaded with homework soon as the class resume. My kids already are planning about it (lols) and even wish it would rain (duh) I know student's life is not easy- but that's the price of knowledge

If this is the case, then you have to prioritized your time effectively. I personally think that they should not burden the students with extra work than usual as it will make them rush and quality of research and work done won't be as good. However, I believe you can cope it well. Keep up your good work

MyLot will always be here, :) you should prioritize your studies, and you can also check discussions from time to time without spending so much time in here. :) It is normal for schools to have make up lessons and quizzes for having a long vacation/No classes. It will be a challenge for students like you. :)

My daughter experienced a week of suspension also. Exams week are coming so i think her professor will have to lecture or teach fast in order to complete the coverage for exams. I think this is possible but it may never be applicable to students. Like the more topics being discussed, the more stress and tired they feel. But i can never blame the professors since it is a week of n classes. If i were the prof, i can summarize important lessons and chapters for the students to make it easier. A lot of quizzes, assignments and projects will be expected though

Homework is not effective. Effective method of learning is in the classroom, especially if there is a discussion on it. Level below it is through online.

You know what, i think this is the charm of student life, extra burden, headache and lots of hurry and hussies. So plz don't feel like your the first one who is in this situation, this is the part of student life and if you are intelligent enough to tackle with these problems then you'll be the Kind. lol

My siblings equally dread tomorrow. They know they have to make up for all those days that schools were cancelled due to the torrential rains. I'm pretty sure they would have to schedule a few Saturdays for their make up classes. I don't know if this is any help or if this is better than to just stretch the school days for a couple of days before summer break.

go for it brother! :) you know what, i thinks it's just our mind set that would tell us how to react in this kind of situation so i think, just take it positively! Live happily and normally :) I know it will be more easier for a student if they always look on its positive side.. Education is an opportunity so grab and enjoy it... because when your out of school and working already you'll miss the time you were still a student. :) hehe Happy schooling day!
