It's coming--whether you like it or not--facebook timeline!

Oh, good, then there's hope! I "canceled" the request to switch too so we'll see--I have two days left until doomsday! hehehe!

I agree--I use fb to stay in touch with friends, and sometimes get local updates on events or news happening in our area. I really liked it before timeline and still don't understand why they had to change the format.

I have it now, so I am forced to use it. Believe me my fb usage has gone way down--it's just too "busy" for me.

If I am forced to use Facebook Timeline, then I have to use it, anyways it won't make much difference. Except that I feel the Profile page looks uglier in Facebook Timeline. Anyways daily I don't have much time to spend on Facebook. I hardly spend 30 to 45 minutes. Sometimes I play Bubble Safari for recreation, nothing more than that. :D

You have two days to find out if they do. It's likely they will, unless the person who's changing it is part squirrel and gets distracted by a shiny object . There's always hope! I don't mind timeline. I didn't want it, but I don't mind it that much. I initially resisted, but once I got the warning they were going to flip me to timeline, I actually changed it myself before the deadline. If they're gonna change my wall to timeline, I'd rather be the one to flip the switch before they do. My little way of giving them an ever-so-polite middle finger.

That's true too, but I figure I can always change it myself afterwards--if I can figure out how to use it. . .lol!

Lucky me. I guess I will wait and see if fb really does switch me over--maybe I will get lucky and they will forget about me. . .one can hope, right? I have heard nothing but complaints about Timeline--does anyone actually like it?

Yes, why can't they? Facebook is already enough for me, i can connect with my close friends, relatives and family and i am thankful already. We don't want added complications in an already complicated life.

I completely agree with you, triplejazz. Life is complicated enough as it is--facebook is supposed to make it easier, not harder!

Now that's a good idea--the fb app doesn't use timeline? That may be the solution for me! Thanks!

Perhaps I will come to like it, but I have viewed friends' pages who already have it, and I find it tough to navigate--it's just too busy, in my opinion. I can switch to another social network, but most of my friends use facebook (if they use anything). Of course, if enough people are unhappy, they might all switch, and then facebook will go the way of myspace....

It was a bit tricky to understand in the beginning, but after a while it is just like you used it for 100 years. Just try it and maybe you will enjoy it and if not, you can always go to myspace or use the facebook app on iphone/android?

I hope I do get used to it, but from what I've seen on others' pages, I am sure I will not like it--it's just too busy and complicated. I'm glads you have come to like it a bit better--makes it easier for you.

I guess I will find out soon enough--I agree; people should be allowed to choose whether they want to use it or not.

Its really not as complicated as it looks, although I don't understand why there making people change it surely people should have the option.

It seems to me that this will cause many people to stop using facebook, or to use it less often, but I guess we will see. If I had a choice I would not make the switch.

oh well--I guess I'll either have to learn to use it, or stop using facebook. Twitter is not really the same so I doubt I'll switch to Twitter either. No good choices!

Have you gotten sued to it, or do you still prefer the old fb page? I am afraid I will never learn to like it. . .

This is probably what I am going to end up doing too--it just seems like too much of a hassle to figure out the new timeline, which I really don't like, so why bother?

Hi Hatley! I completely agree that timeline is much too complicated and facebook should be simple to use. I guess maybe the more tech-savvy people will adjust quickly but it may drive many people away. I am certainly not happy with the prospect of having to navigate timeline!

Actually I didn't even know that--maybe that's why it is so much slower now?
